No money this christmas

Well i'm starting work again in January, it just I finished back in September and had none since, now the DWP has decided to sanction me for not attending a work programmer or something :s I tried to explain to them I do work, just I work by whats available and did try to live off what I had earned in my previous job. I do demolition so its always drying up for me where my uncle would send me to different sites

Basically, anybody have any idea what I could do for my partner as now I am literally out of pocket and used up all of my resources for cash from borrowing because if I borrow anymore I'm hardly making anything for next year.

if you can't afford it, then don't try and think of ways around it (unless you have relatives you can celebrate with). your partner should know of your circumstances, and if she has certain expectations then i'm sorry but that's just plain selfish. you can always delay celebrating christmas how you wanted to originally celebrate it until you have the funds to do so. but don't go stressing yourself and potentially causing more money issues for the purpose of a commercialised holiday.

I've managed to sort out like Christmas dinner, my sons presents and that, like the day is sorted, its just I've not managed to get my partner anything and although she is telling me everythings okay, shes spent quite alot on me..

I'd like to surprise her, but need ideas really, I was considering a loan from one of those websites but you have to pay it all back in one, aint there anywhere where you can pay it week by week?

avoid, avoid, avoid. i doubt she would even want you to do that, and i'm sure she'd be willing to wait for a present from yourself in january (when you get £££ and you still want to get something). don't get yourself in more money troubles for a silly present. seriously, it's not worth it. you've got the foundations (dinner, sons present) sorted, so you could always try and do something sentimental or just simply give her an IOU.

Its not that you told me I can give her something after Christmas, its the fact that you've made me realize its not that important. Thank you for your honesty and support

You've got serious problems if you even consider those loan shark companies. Have you seen their APR? 2000+%? If you don't repay them straight away, expect the payments to get out of hand and for you to lose whatever possessions you have!
