I've currently got a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-19S. Pentium Dual Core T3200 @ 2GHz, 3GB RAM, 250GB HD (I don't use a lot of space on it), Intel IGP.
I've been given a Toshiba Satellite C650-12J, AMD Athlon II P320 2.1GHz processor, 3GB RAM, 320GB HD, ATI 4250 IGP. It needs a screen but I'll buy one anyway.

Do I keep my existing laptop or is the C650 much better (i.e. better enough that switching to it and loading all my stuff on it would be worthwhile as I plan to sell both machines and buy an Ultrabook when I go to uni)

the c650 is better, not by much though

you wont get much money for either of them

How much would I get for them both if I were to sell them right now?

you'd be lucky to get over 200

That sounds about right in my head... I reckon I'd get £100 for the L300, and with a charger and everything for the C650 I reckon I should get about £180, judging by what I've seen stuff go for locally.
