Ok, instead of banning users, why don't they just mute them, for a certain amount of time? Either way you carnt scam or anything while your muted, if your banned its obvious that you are just going to create another account SackRace but that is obvious what would happen? Right?

Anyway, if you get muted can't you still trade? You could still easily scam, if you are banned however there's no way to scam via trading as you won't have the trading pass.

I agree with this. It's effort for the trading pass once you make a new account. Gotta wait a few hours.

Also what about stuff like selling accounts and stuff, or selling items for cash, not like they wouldn't do it on msn or something insted, not that anyone would talk about it on client with any sence anyway. Tbh the punishment needs to fit the cause and muting should only be for verbal offencss

Yeah this too, I remember an old thread going on about how long you should be banned for if you broke the rules, such as a mute for abusive language or 2 hours for bullying, perm if you discuss retros or sell accounts, things like that.

No not perm for selling accounts, I want to be unbanned LMAO.

Srsly tho yea basically this really, like I would prefer mutes for offensive stuff compared to four hour bans though, would make things like lms fairer, and also just save the pain of when you get reported by someone trying to get back at you using anything they can find ;p

If you get caught selling accounts surely you should be permed? I'm just going off the Habbo Way and I know they take it seriously after scottish; and Calvin; got me banned for a joke. True about reporting people just for any reason though.

O I was joking about the selling accounts not being perm, but tbh I think that if its for habbo creds should probably be more like a 2-3 year ban and only perm for real life to make a clear distinction between bad and far worse, especially as the t&c isn't very clear that selling for creds is not allowed ;p

Personally I always report people doing that and they often do get banned. Sort of revenge for someone doing it to me when I was just joking about selling some accounts to make myself look good lmao. I'm actually suprized tho how little happens about people saying that sort of thing all the time, would have thought it would be noticed more than it is.

It seems to me Habbo was more serious about account selling back in 2008 than now? Why are websites like *********** still up and why do retros still exist? They say they're taking action but there are literally hundreds.

Moderators have the option to ban your entire ID if the offence is severe enough. Banning also ensures that you lose all your assets for your misbehavior. Creating a new account will not get around that.

new accounts do get around it really though, just gives u and offset, doesn't take that long to build a stable amount of creds back from nothing.
