I connected my xbox up to my pc so I can stream music from my pc when on the xbox but it's so annoying because it imports every single file / folder. I haven't used windows media center before so I was wondering if any of you know how I can set the media center to only display music from certain folders I select?

Go into the Media Center settings and you can specify it's media folders.
