I have the Samsung one, so far so good with it. The only downside I found with things i go on is no flash on browsing, just got a flash browser instead. Graphics are good on it, easy to use (my mum's basically stole mine) and portable :) x.

I agree with the nexus 7, except that the nexus 10 comes out soon and theres a major flaw with the 7 that if you overcharge it, it fries the battery (and makes it incapable of charging or holding a charge)

What size screen are you after? The Galaxy Tab 2 is (I think) a 10" tablet while the Kindle Fire HD is a 7". As others have mentioned, the Nexus 7 is possibly the best 7" tablet on the market at the moment which I also strongly recommend, and the Nexus 10 is coming out soon and could do rather well in the 10" market. Does it have to be the Tab or Kindle Fire?

i can't really afford the nexus 7, think it'd be a push for the samsung anyway but it's doable. I was looking at the 7" ers :)

Minecraft Pocket Edition is an app available on the Android app store (google play) so it doesn't matter what tablet you have.

The nexus 7 is probably the best one, even though it's not the 2 options you gave it's probably the best for your price range. If it's a choice between the nexus and kindle fire, definitely pick the nexus as it'll be much more worth it in the long range.

I have a slightly cheaper one (versus touchtab 9 inch) which was £120 and is really good for the price, and I prefer the casing on it to the Nexus (bigger screen, less outside case) - but it is a cheaper tablet and that does show at times.

Where are you looking for the Nexus 7? Last I saw it was the cheapest or at the same price as the big brand Tablets! ebuyer I think still have their offers on.

£199 - 32GB - http://www.ebuyer.com/398430-asus-google-nexus-7-32gb-tablet-pc-90ok0mi1101090u

The Galaxy Tab is either a few pound cheaper or more expensive.

Is it not possible to stretch your funds by £20? The Nexus 7 is definitely worth it - it'll be kept updated for quite a while :)

oh crap, not £1589, £159.
I'm not sure, i'll need to talk to my parents, it's not my money :)
noticed that the galaxy tab is android 4.1 and the nexus is 4.2, how long will it be until the one with 4.3 is out? or can you upgrade them to the latest android?

I'm not sure when 4.3 will be out but the Nexus 7 has the latest version of Android (4.2.1) and is guaranteed to have the next versions for a while. The Nexus will inform you when a System Update is available and update it over the air - you do not need to plug it into a PC :)

You really shouldn't be able to overcharge modern electronics and having just looked into it I can't find any examples of this.

My manager and a few work colleagues had this problem with theirs, and a few friends and relatives have too. They got an exchange due to warrenty but its still quite a major flaw

Nexus 7 is cheapest for its kind and the quality of the product is just immense.
