I think it's so Matt doesn't have to fiddle with as many permissions so he just left me with the department manager perms, also I might have to post announcements in development announcements from time to time anyway and again I think Matt doesn't want to prat around with perms too much to give me dev announcements and not normal announcements etc. . In my defence Paradise really shouldn't have been in the poll so I was entirely justified even if it was a mistake.
