It seems the ex-CEO of Sulake now has a job working at Betfair as a Managing Director. LinkedIn says he is "Responsible for the business performance of Betfair's gaming products." which is based in the UK.

At least the new CEO is an old schooler and understands what Habbo is about.

did he step down/resign or get fired does anyone know

He resigned, but for all we know it could have been a 'Resign or we'll fire you' situation.

Good luck to him though in his new job!

He decided to step down. No one knows if he was forced or not, only Sulake probably know that information.

Shocking, a professional grown up got a new job after leaving one where he was harassed by teenagers on a daily basis.

Good luck to him there.

If he wasn't fired / forced to quit, then the question would be why would a CEO just abandon his company.

because presumably in every other position he's held he's not had 12-18 year olds scream at him every day

possibly got fed up of habbo or didn't see a future in it or whatever.

The same reason why any other person or CEO leaves a company? Sometimes it's just time to move on or do something different.

Betfair is doomed! DOOOOOOMED! The utter bullocks he's written in his summary is laughable. He "markets digital products on social networks". This translates to: he spends all of his time on social networks, forgetting he has a business to organise and "manage".

Same reason you spit out a piece of gum. You chew it until it is completely unrecognisable and, after leeching all the juices and taste from it, discard it for the next poor sod to clear up. The Story of Habbo - the LaFontaine Years ;)

The ceo and cto at the same time though? I don't think it was a simple time to move on to something different haha

It's all speculation unless we know the clear reasons why both left. Both could have left because they don't see future in the product. But who knows :P

Did those two large investors in Sulake ever return?

Was never mentioned but I doubt it. Although It was mentioned that the other investors were pumping more money into Sulake.

Probably why he left. Embarrassment. That, or other investors and/or senior staff suggested he should.
