wouldnt complain if it got removed, think i was one of the people who wanted it but it's hardly been used since it was added and when it does theres always people who do the generic lukz gud wd!! posts anyway.
either people aren't arsed to criticise/dont know what to say, or ignore the prefix and get mod edited.
gonna admit it was a bad idea asking for valuable criticism on a habbo fansite anyway l0l.
@Kyle (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=30795); @dbgtz (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=28789); @Samanfa (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=68263); i think were ones who argued for it, dunno what they think
@Chris (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=55895); is gonna hate me for posting this prob

I wasn't around when it was implemented, but when I did have a look in the graphics forum not too long ago, I saw it and wondered what the point was - do people not give cc in the forum anyway? That's the whole point in posting in the first place, surely :P?

Yeah I was thinking this too. Would have been alright a year or two back but now there is really no point. Still, if it is to be removed, make sure no one spams "looks good" or any other short and poor answers.

I know what you mean, but sometimes I will see something and will literally just think 'that looks good' or 'that looks nice', and not always have an idea for improvement. Should I not be able to post that, as long as it's not just a c+p to every thread in the forum :P.

I think if you ask in the OP for CC you deserve a bit of it, if it's just 'looks good' without directly addressing the graphic at all. I don't really mind it as much now and with my Chibis I'd rather not use it as I remember dbgtz; saying he couldn't really give CC to it as it's not his style of work.
What I'm saying is if someone says CC is welcome etc. then only if a person doesn't address a part of the graphic they could be moderated for it,
Example:
I post a Chibi saying CC is welcome
X member says: Looks good
Y member says: Overall, it looks cute
I'd rather get the bottom one as it's actually addressing the graphic; just saying 'looks good' could just be put on many psots around the forum.
Have I confused anyone? If someone wants CC then to an extent it should be given, I don't mind if they're removed I'd just prefer a member actually addressing the graphic :P.

Its unneeded but some people want it so yeahh? Even though I got a warning for it haha...

I don't mind if it is removed. I would rather replies were actually thought about and not just the simple "looks nice". If you like the graphic then at least pick out something that you liked. Obviously if you felt something could of been improved you would suggest what that was.

Thinking about it, the OP could also just reply to someone and say 'thanks but is there anything I can improve on' and quote the person who just said 'looks good.'

I got asked that and unless I wanted to boost my post more I wouldnt reply... simple as.

But who seriously thinks "Oh, I'm not going to reply because I don't want to boost my post count"?
It was a good idea at the time, kind of, but now there's just not enough people who can give criticism anymore so you're just going to get 'looks good', 'this is good' or 'amazing!!!!!1!!!'. It is currently just sat there being pointless and it's an extra job for moderators (and a nice way to get more logs I guess).
Perhaps still have a small rule in the graphics forum that you can't just put simple, generic replies such as "looks good" because, as Samanfa said, I'd much prefer it if someone said something along the lines of "I think the graphic looks great!"

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about - but if it's about post count then that's a completely different topic. Let's stick to the topic at hand ;).
Yeah, I think it should be removed. Repetition for dramatic effect. I'm cool.

You were talking about boosting post count, you're pointlessly replying now.

I don't really understand how "I think the graphic looks great" is any different from "That looks nice" tbh :S.

There isn't much difference, but it's not just a generic, short post of "That's nice" or whatever. It just seems a little less lazy?

The CC prefix is only really used by people who are good at graphics anyway and there's not much 'normal' people can pick upon so the threads tend to get lost and never replied to. It was a good idea at first, but tbh I thought it would be used more. Without it I guess it is encouraging more 'spam'-like generic posts, "looks good" "nice job" etc but if it is a good graphic then what's the problem? If you slightly reword the rules in that forum, like if you were to say no short replies, that'd work I think?

That's pretty much what I'm saying, but really on this forum to say a lot of things look good and doesn't need any improvements is a massive lie.

This was always going to be the case on this type of forum. If we was back a few years when we had a good amount of people doing graphics and what not then sure but that isn't the case any more.

Actually, I find "looks good" less annoying than just "I don't like it" because at least when you like it there's nothing to pick up on. Just saying you don't like it is completely pointless and tends to just put the person who made the graphic down unnecessarily lol.

I never liked the CC prefix to start with so I'm all for removing it if thats what people want.

It seems the majority, if not all the people in this thread want it gone. Is a poll going to be needed? Perhaps we should have a forum for decision polls instead. ;)

Yeah, I totally agree!! If you don't like something you've got to say why!!

Yes, remove it, it's simply not needed. As for pointless replies, yes, they're annoying. But if we create a rule for something for graphics, surely we need one for Welcomes/Thank Yous/Congratulations because people are essentially doing the same, posting for the sake of posting. Probably a lot less hassle to just remove the forum and let things be I guess.

I don't think post count rises in that forum anyway so it's not a big issue. If the CC tags are going to be removed I would like to see a rule saying whatever the reply pick something out that you either like or something you think needs improving. It's not hard to make a decent reply which would help the OP out.

It does in at least one of them, because I remember thinking they were disabled in all of them, but obviously someone changed it somewhere :P I'll test them now :)

Oh, well to be honest I think both of them should have them disabled because they are similar in what replies are given. We do contact people if they say similar messages in multiple threads in a short amount of time though.

Well, I did a feedback thread on this, and people shot me down so quickly... I'll find the link so you can see that management think that post count should stay enabled...

No, it won't, hence why it's just easier to disable the CC prefix and move on with life :P

I never used the prefix because there's hardly anyone here now who can give decent criticism, if I need cc ill simply ask Dave on Skype... With that said I don't think the prefix is doing any harm and I would rather it stayed as I wouldn't really like to see stricter posting rules placed in that forum. Fair enough if people specifically ask for it but sometimes people just post work to share it with others and not necessarily to receive a critical analysis.
Not sure where you got the idea that I was all for these prefixes as I remember being quite strongly opposed to them for the exact reasons that have been mentioned! Get rid.
and since this is remotely on topic, the week is over and the messy forum remains. runescape needs that subforum now Chris; thank u kindly
