I can't remember if they did a campaign for it in 2012, but here's the 2011 badge:

Nice find :) Would've missed entering competition if I hadn't seen this.
Here's my entry if anyone's interested: http://youtu.be/14ADVeldo7M
(wasn't exactly sure what they wanted for this video haha)
Came across this too: http://www.saferinternetday.org/web/habbo-hotel
So looks like the mini-campaign (starting either Monday or Tuesday) will consist of the SID video competition, infobus talks and badges to all those who shout "Connect with Respect" in the official SID room when it's open.

For Windows, I haven't used any of these but I've heard good things about Camtasia Studio (http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html) ($299), CamStudio (http://camstudio.org/) (FREE), Jing (http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html) (FREE) and BB FlashBack Express (http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk/BBFlashBack_FreePlayer.aspx) (FREE).
For Mac, I use ScreenFlow (http://www.telestream.net/screenflow/overview.htm) ($99) or a free alternative is the built-in Quicktime app.

Wow, I mean just wow... A lot of entries on their FB page are disgraceful - some don't even have sound for gods sake! I think one of the worst ones has to be the video which clearly was a powerpoint being filmed - you could hear a mouse being clicked and they didn't even bother to edit out the bit which showed all the slides at the end! LMAO! At least they bothered to make one, I'll give them that! :P
Although I did really like a few of them, IMHO, Veeim's video is the only video that I've seen so far that is worthy of winning, It looked very professional and was very well thought out - that's going to be a tough one to beat, Good luck to everyone else! :)
I would have liked to make a video myself, if I was at home and could access the client, that is :/ Had a rather good idea! :@
*Disclaimer: I haven't seen all the videos, so if anyone is reading this and they have made a video, I may not be explicitly talking about yours :) - I'm sorry if I happened to have offended someone in any way, shape or form*
(BTW, whats stopping you making a video by yourself, and make the participants your alts? LOL £££££££)!

You can crop videos in Quicktime player, which is free and quite simple. A level up would be something like iMovie, where you can edit videos and create effects with ease.
If you want to go pro, you would be using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, which comes in a suite that costs a fair amount. Although I highly doubt anyone would buy that just for making a Habbo safety awareness video! :P
There are lots of applications you could use, but these are just some of the ones I have in my arsenal :)

LOL okay :) It's quite hard to explain how to use it over the internet like this - However, Adobe have really helpful tutorial videos online that can teach you about it :)

I entered the video comp but it was awful since I used youtube editor, I know I won't win but I like to be safe incase it becomes one of those things where all entrants win a badge/furni or something as they have done in the past with third party campaigns :D
Your video looks so good Veeim

There might be a tutorial on importing videos, I don't know - I have never used Jing :P
However, I think your problem might be down to the video file type you are trying to import.
This might help you :) : http://forums.adobe.com/message/3692768

Hmm.. You could use Quicktime player to crop videos, although this is pretty basic.
Youtube also offers an editing service (http://www.youtube.com/editor) that is free, as far as I am aware. I haven't really used this much, so I don't know a lot about it - But is part of Youtube and it should allow you to make a basic video! (Though I'm not sure you will reach anywhere near the same standard of Veeim's video with that service alone :/ )

Hmm, I seems I hadn't previously watched your video, if it is this one: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCzXcOxStqw).
I thought yours was rather good actually, certainly had a lot more effort put into it than one or two I had seen - Didn't think it looked powerpointy at all - IMO, You certainly had the edge over Veeim's video in the respect of font choice - 10 points for Gryffindor for using Volter :¬:! (H)
In my original post, I was referring to another video that was actually made on a powerpoint presentation - I wasn't talking about yours - I decided not to post the links the videos I didn't like because I didn't want to single people out. :)

thanks, but then again people got confused what to do as the rules of the competitions said "pictures only, no dialogues" that's it, they should've elaborated more. but I think except for a few videos, no one made it on topic

I see what you mean, they were being quite vague with the rules - which meant people just interpreted it in their own way :)

They announced the winner of the video competition the other day.
Explosive.Girl , lYerko , Karlos01.. , and Cutie-Safety with their video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SHcQIWFttE
I think what took my group's video (http://youtu.be/14ADVeldo7M) out of the running were the "helpful tip" boxes. Though they should've made things more clear. The requirement "without dialogues", I along with many others took it as no habbos speaking. Ah well, congrats to the winners!
