Member of Japanese Pop Group shaves her head as an apology for dating

Basically a member of a Japanese pop group has shaved their head as an apology for being caught dating someone because apparently their contract states they cannot date while in the band.

Yeah she did break her contract but why should she not be allowed to date, she is 20 and should be able to have a life. I know people say record labels can be greedy but this is too far for me.

not shocked. happens a lot in Korean and Japanese pop culture unfortunately. they have to pretend they haven't even had their first kiss. it won't be because the girl wants money and fame considering they're completely exploited and hardly see any of their money anyway but the companies are powerful and scary, they're taken at a young age and trained for years... they like belong to the company.... this sorta stuff stops me enjoying any of the music knowing its all fake....

I heard about this. I can understand that you need to create a certain 'image' (a bunch of innocent girls in this case) but this is really extreme. They have a duty of care to these people and if they feel they need to beg for forgiveness in that way, it's clear they are not taking responsibility and just exploiting these girls.
