yours should have been chosen tbh =/ i don't get why they have these different threads if most people just want to keep habbox as it is. why make people waste time creating things like that to just say nope :)

What do you mean by nobody really cares about them? :P

They must have felt strong enough to vote in the poll, since people did vote for the design, but the majority ended up voting for the old design to come back. People have been asking whether they have returned or not too which implies that they care. :P Of course certain people won't be bothered, peoples opinions vary a lot, but the poll has spoken really xD

When roughly can we expect to see them back? :P I recall someone saying they would be done "sometime tomorrow" nearly a week ago. :P

People were strong enough to sign a peition for Sulake to keep volter. No one gives a crap about it being changed, it just took them a few weeks to get used to it. Technically we don't have to listen to feedback or listen to anything people say as it's management who make the decisions of what happens on the site. But fortunately for everyone, we have a feedback section. I'm not saying they aren't coming back but I'm just proving a point. A point that occurs many times over and over again - I never set a date of me changing the user bars so anyone mentioning dates doesn't have a clue.

Ah but are they returning? It took some days after for people to realise they haven't changed back yet.

What I am trying to say is, people don't like change at first but after some weeks people are like "Shrugs" or "Meh" and they get over it.

Ah right :P It was your forum manager who said the "sometime tomorrow" thing, in the actual feedback thread once the voting had closed. So I guess its just another case of crossed wires :P I'm sure its not a case of him "not having a clue".

I don't think people would be that bothered to jump around screaming WHY U NO CHANGE THEM the day after, its only been around a week, however I think they would come to expect the results of a poll to be honored. :P The current design came 5th in that poll, so its not like its close or anything :P

I'm not too bothered really, but I'm just confused as to whether they are being changed or not and a simple "I haven't had time yet" or "they will be done soon." would have been fine :P I'm not arguing, moaning or trying to be a pain, I was just asking. :P

ikr im sorry :( I'm just trying to make you realise that I'm not moaning or trying to be a pain, I'm just asking haha.

I can understand your point, but I think that its just one of those things where people aren't always as vocal about it. The Habbo thing is fair enough because they have 1000's of users etc, but we don't have quite that many members on each day, and I guess its just not that big of a deal since its just a userbar, but its the principle behind the fact that the community were given the vote and the majority decided and ting, It doesn't mean they care passionately about it, but some of those might have, and they chose based on what they thought looked best/would be best for the forum I guess using their judgement.

I hope I haven't used any ":P"'s in this post :'( I don't even realise im doing it half the time.

Making changes to anything can be quite big to the end users and at first they won't like it. But once they started seeing them or using the new changes then they will get used to it and their care about them being reverted back to the old userbars will become less and less. Which has been shown in this thread with people saying they have gotten used to ones that are currently enabled.

I'm not saying they won't go back - As people will just rant on about management not listening to polls blah blah blah blah blah. I'll find the old one's and put them up before the week is out or even sometime tonight.

Then maybe a poll to decide what will happen with them wasn't a good idea in the first place if thats the idea :P (people getting used to them eventually), I think it just comes back down to whether you give members the option or make the decision yourselves. Sure people threw up a stink about them, it was a pretty sudden change to something that had been in place for quite some time and people look at most days, but its just userbar at the end of the day and you then have to take that and either give in to the people moaning and put it to a vote (which was done), then honour it, or you have to be firm, tell them they will get used to it and deal with the inevitable sulking.

Of course people will tend to get used to something once they get to see it more and more and get to like it, however they obviously liked the other 4 designs that beat them in the poll more too, and I guess it just shows the wide variety of peoples opinions. The poll was only a week ago, so there was quite a bit of time for people to "get used to them", which they weren't able to with the other designs in the poll. I think one of the main things was just the way it was handled in the first place and the lack of communication/member input when for changes to little things like that its often nice for the members to have an initial say too, and I think 100 forum members wanting change is more important and more reflective than a few management members wanting change, its just nice sometimes to have a few more opinions on something before going for it and then facing such a wide variety of different opinions.

I think its all fine now really, a lot of people probably like the old ones and the new ones having got used to them, and I guess later down the line you could re-asses the publics opinion and see if they want that change to take place later in the year or something.

I can totally understand what you are saying and where you are coming from, but I think its not so helpful thinking about it now since the decisions have already been made and stuff, and the margins were quite wide in the end. :P :P :P (please dont kill me)

Over userbars? Don't be stupid. If it wasn't for management you wouldn't be back on the forum. It would be dead if you was in charge because you would get rid of the feedback forum and wouldn't listen to anyone at all.

Wow, a lot of discussion comes in an hour or so.

Well you don't like feedback anyway so technically you shouldn't mind what happens.

This is in reply to everything in general:

I totally agree with you on the fact that people just become less bothered, it happens all the time. Changes are made, people like them or hate them. If they hate them, they ask for them to be reverted, after asking this they just forget that they asked and continue reading posts/aiming for a higher post count on the forum. Nothing has changed due to some graphics.

With that said though, feedback has been given, really, for the well-being of the forum. The current users don't really find these new user bars 'eye candy' which is why they were asked to be changed back/changed. Also, because the majority has voted against the changes it really means that most people won't like them either. User bars aren't a big deal, they're a small image with text on, but it goes for any changes really.

Not gonna lie, completely forgot what I was going on about, but you get the picture I think.

Polls for no reason? Wasn't that requested by the users who complained about the new user bars. No point going on about it as the old ones were uploaded 1 hour ago. We never said they weren't coming back - There is a difference.

The whole idea of a feedback forum is pointless. Some of the things that have been posted about

userbars
snow
ignore thread on search?
post count on certain threads
anti referral rules
revenge rep
bigger avatars
skins
habbox merit

They really are minor things that don't affect the forum at all. I don't even know why you entertain the threads or have the forum. You should just allow discussion in announcements, in my opinion.

You'd only get the feedback on development announcements, not get people suggesting petty things such as revenge rep and post count. You're management fgs, start acting like it and do what you want. Change the userbars, move forums around. stop dragging each issue out for a month in the feedback forum whilst you listen to stupid squabbles.

It'd be exactly the same except no one would be able to keep track of recent announcements. You'd probably need to add another announcements forum with no posting in. To make it clear which you can post in you could make the original forum called 'feedback'

I'm not talking about post count. I would think a lot of users would be annoyed that we didn't have this section so they could give feedback on decisions or even suggest changes to Habbox itself? Maybe you should make a thread asking for people to see what people would think if it was removed.
