Hey guys. I've started learning Swedish.
I've got the basics, and a Swedish keyboard obviously, and i know it quite well because i've been studying it pretty much none stop for the past few weeks. I would like to end up quite fluent in the language. Now, how would i go about learning the advanced language and past/present tense? Is there any programs, websites or methods you can recommend to me on learning the advancements of a language. I don't mean stuff like Rosetta Stone, because that only teaches you basic stuff. I might be asking for a little too much. Any ideas?
Thanks

find people willing to be able to chat with you on skype and help?
there are a lot of websites out there, where you help them with english and in return they'll help you with their native language
although my mums always said the only way to truly learn a language is to go live in an area where they speak it
ya, you'll probably find someone that speaks the language quite easily and it would be good to have a chat with them because then you're picking up the basics and getting to learn how to speak it in the sense of just speaking nicely with someone. i agree with tara, i think the best way to learn a language is to actually go to the place, it means you kinda of HAVE to learn it and get used to it
i'm really jealous of u i wanna learn swedish

If you want help training your vocab you can go to http://www.memrise.com/
Then leart about grammar rules and then increase vocab again, then pronunsiation, finally, convos.
Tho, basic convos are great for starters, find someone in skype.

My friends learning Finnish, think he wants to teach abroad and everything though.

Or you could try like a nightclass with ICS.
Guessing that you've pretty much mastered anything that the free websites give you though.
If all else fails try Swedish chatrooms or whatever. Speaking the language helped me with languages.

I believe Rosetta Stone is quite good, but I've not really looked into the price but according to various people I know, the best way is to actually go there. And Rosetta Stone do have a "course" on Swedish.

The only problem with Rosetta stone is that it only teaches you certain phrases. Phrases i most likely know because i've tried out a couple of the courses at my local 'languages center' and they look a little too simple.
