Who exactly are the gorillaz

Well I was having a convo with my mum in the car about gorillaz touring habbo, I know they are a leet band and I love there music but who exactly are they? No one has ever seen there real identities. They are just cartoon figures. My mum recons they were all out of other bands years ago, but she is normally wrong and before you say they were on the Feel good inc. video that was the bang they were v-ing.
I guess we will never know..

I bet they are pentioners, I mean its a good idea them doing the cartoon thing because that kinda makes them more unique.

I thought they were a virtual band, there arent set people, and most of it (nearly all) is edited anyway so it wouldnt matter. The actual people singing wont be real people singing, itll be some person singing with there voice edited so its nothing like it.
