Twitter on phone

On facebook I know if you stick it on your phone you can find other contacts by your phones address book (so obviously looks up accounts associated with phone numbers on your address book)

is this the same with twitter?

I want to stick twitter on my phone as going on it with chrome on the phone is just crap, but don't want irl finding the twitter account through my phone number

So yeah does Twitter find friends with phone number or whatever like fb does?

if you go on the actual twitter website and click settings > mobile you should be able to choose whether people can find you through your phone number

doesn't have my number on that, that's if you want to add your phone to your account to receive texts etc I believe rather than just logging on etc

oh i've already got my phone added so the settings might be different, idk. this is what shows up for me atm;

if you add your phone you'll then have the option to tick the box for letting other people find you. i don't think they can find you otherwise :P

I'm pretty sure it's the same for all devices however go to Discover > Scroll down until you find suggested people to follow > At top it'll have 'Find Friends' and that should be it.

Click 'view all' on suggested people to follow and it'll be at the top to find friends from contacts.

If i log into the FB app on my phone it suggests people on my phones address library (obviously looking them up via their phone number)

where as obviously I don't want irl people finding my twitter via my phone number :P

Yeah signing into the app using your phone doesn't put your phone number on the twitter account by looks of it, only way to get your number on that page is if you activate twitter text messaging
