Could this be the PS4 controller?

As the news of a possible reveal for the PS4 happening on February 20th arise, several sites have started to report a rumour that a new controller design has been emerging online. This main rumour itself comes from Destructoid and the screenshot of the controller can be seen below:

If this controller design does indeed seem true then it appears the center of the controller will have a touchscreen of sorts. However one thing appears to be that the select/start buttons are missing.

I'll keep checking up on news up until the point of Sony's big reveal on February 20th, until then post your opinions.

If it does indeed look like the new controller, bare in mind it does look like a prototype of it.

It doesn't look that nice, also it could just be me but it looks like the parts you hold are different sizes, won't that be annoying :P?

Looks real but very much an ugly, bulky prototype in my opinion. This is the PS1's controller evolution so hopefully that one is just a prototype:

IGN have confirmed that the controller IS real and that it is an early prototype

I like the fact it's slightly longer than the older ones and the touchscreen element is certainly interesting

i've never really liked playsation controllers with them being quite light. i prefer the bulkier xbox controllers so the designs above would be perfect :P

Aside from the PS4 reveal which is most likely they might also reveal the Playstation Cloud thing when they bought Gaikai

This'll be interesting to see what they reveal. If it is a case where the new PS4 is released, I wonder what'll be different/new with it.. :P can't wait to see what it is!

Edit: Never mind - I've just watched a video and read some blogs about what's going to be on the new PS4.
