Google have recently released a new video of Google Glass and how it looks if you were wearing them:

What does people think of these? Probably going to be pretty expensive but they do look kinda cool.

Didn't we see a short preview a good while back about these? I think they were in the making of it.

I really love these, would love to get myself one of them. Probably would cost a fortune though!

Looks pretty damn awesome. I wonder how much they'll actually cost.

Assuming these are glasses and I'm not misinterpreting it, won't that thing in the corner make you cross eyed? lol

The deadline for applications is February 27th. If you are chosen, we will reach out to you with an invitation to become a Glass Explorer (please remember to follow us so that we can contact you directly). Explorers will each need to pre-order a Glass Explorer Edition for $1500 plus tax and attend a special pick-up experience, in person, in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles.

Am I the only one who thinks these look ridiculous?

Well depending on how the glasses will actually be - but it's useful for those that wish to buy themselves a pair for that price.

I just think they look interesting anyway. :P

So this is just a video camera that attaches to your glasses? Confused.

From the link they do look stupid :P

It looks amazing and it's a real neat idea, but it all relies on the voice recognition software to be perfect, and my experiences with the current Google Now voice search haven't been great.

They're an interesting concept but I can't imagine it for every day use Also, it'll be nice to rename them something different than "ok Glass", because that will only get annoying. That said, the inevitability of Iron Man watchers calling them "Jarvis" would probably be another irritant :P Oh, and the delay in taking a picture.

Are you able to use them with real glasses because that's a huge thing for me, I can never get 3D glasses on because they fall off my glasses.

I saw a Google Keynote some months ago, where they showed off a parachute landing using Google+ Hangouts.

But there's the fact that, they might look ridiculous and don't forget they're expensive (I couldn't afford one).
Anyway, if they get popular enough, the "ridiculous" issue won't matter for me.

I think it's a good idea, but I'm not sure that 'wearable technology' is the future in such a sense. It's definitely an interesting concept.. Did you see about the 8,000 people who can have them first or whatever? They have to pay $1500 USD if they're chosen (I think it's that much)

I've just read

So yeah, expensive.

I was watching iJustine do a video about it and she looked excited for them. Although to be honest, I wouldnt want to have to wear glasses all day to experience this; maybe in like 2040 we can have then implanted in to our eyes?

They honestly look amazing from a first person perspective, but once I saw the actual unit... It was a bit of a turn off.
