Hiya everyone,

Right, I am taking part in a 24 hour skate-a-thon for charity, and i'm wondering what will be the best way to keep myself awake, I know the obvious answers energy drinks and stuff, but I want things that will actually work for me and keep me from falling asleep on the ice.

Tbh only thing I can say besides energy drinks and stuff, is to practice it a lot. If you know how tough it's gonna be beforehand, then you'll get more and more used to it. Unless this event is in like 5 days... oops.

Anyway, bizarrely water keeps me awake... no clue why. You could also try wearing thin layers so you remain cold which keeps you awake irdk.

Is this ice skating or skate boarding?

If you keep moving and that, skate and have music. You should be fine.
You can go 11 days generally without going to sleep - so you should be fine with just 1.

For me if i just have something to do i could stay up for like 1 1/2 days to 2 days straight

Get a good night sleep the day before will help

obviously still wear warmish clothes though!! getting too cold is worse than getting a bit sleepy

Make sure you get enough sleep before hand maybe extra, don't drink energy drinks they give you energy but after that drain your energy which will make you tired, try water and I've heard apples keep you awake or wake you up
