Surely they'd want a larger userbase than that, although it's expected in it's first first months. :P

Its doing better than some of the nordic hotels. Denmark for example has 283 people online.

I was on Turkey a few weeks ago and noticed that they had released most of the limited rares, except only 1 or 2 of each has sold.

Not available in my country, lame.

for a hotel opened less than a year, in a brand new market where people have never heard of habbo i'd consider it to be doing very well lol.

Denmark, population 5.5 million
Turkey, population 75.6 million
bearing their respective populations in mind, id say .dk was still doing rather better

1000 seems okay to me since habbo.com has 1960 users on currently

Most of Denmark has an Internet connection? Half of turkey probably lives in poverty so that's probably not an accurate thing to go by!

"According to IWS, Turkey has 35 million active Internet users"
Habbo Turkey has much more events than other hotels, also they have very socialized staffs. The only thing that I would consider negative is that most players is 9-10 years old - which is not really what Sulake wants, but there are people that haves the target that Sulake is aiming for.
