Are you an angry gamer?

After a brief discussion in hxhd, thought I'd ask people whether they think they're an angry gamer. When my brother plays games he gets really mad when a game isn't going his way. He plays FIFA and gets really racist and angry at the players even though they're not actually in control lol. Flinging the controller to the ground, swearing, angry tears (sometimes), punching the wall. I'm a more patient gamer but after a while even I can get annoyed and start shouting.

So how angry do you get when a game doesn't go your way or are you as cool as a cucumber? :D

If I'm really struggling to get past something, I'll end up having a strop and probably end up crying. I'm not TERRIBLE, but at the same time I can be sometimes quite bad, but it really depends on my mood.

Nope never get angry really. Perhaps the only time I feel is if there is massive lag but I never express it physically.

I tend to be quite calm when gaming, but when I get stuck on a point for ages and keep dying it annoys me and I start to rage. Takes me a while to calm down

i usually swear a lot, shout and i usually get into arguments when i'm playing cod and i have my headset on because i just say what i think and when i'm angry i don't think nice things

I'm fine when I'm playing single player games or the people who I'm playing with/up against aren't in the same room but if I'm playing a multiplayer game with my friends I must be terrifying to sit near :'(

I am certainly an angry gamer. 4 broken controllers and a broken headset. That's mild compared to my mate. He's gone through about 60 controllers and 2 xboxes. For instance, I didn't turn round fast enough to shoot some guy on cod, and because he died, he wrecked a controller.

Just seem to wind up with chess and tetris. I can't say they're particularly aggressive.

LOL chess used to stress me out trying to remember all the stupid rules and who can do what and then it wouldn't matter anyway because someone would make some overly complicated move and get checkmate really quickly.

That being said, I did win against Alex3213; so not completely a rubbish game.

Have done. Sonic Colours was the most infuriating game to play, ever. Anything that requires precision gaming but doesn't provide it because of dodgy game physics. Sonic shouldn't float or be able to control his jump like that, and nor should Assassins in Assassins Creed e.g. you jump and expect to land where you control him to go when ready to jump, but for some reason they drift when it shouldn't be possible :P The original 2D Sonic games were fine, but these 3D abominations are awful! Assassins Creed hasn't done that since the second game, I don't think - but annoying none the less.

Also, PS3 controls are not made the way they used to be - Sony obviously make all their money through new controllers, and I only broke mine because I got up off the sofa too quickly :( (the other one I chucked at the ground and shouted "Sod this for a game of horses" - can't remember what I was playing).

I think in general I'm a pretty laid back cool gamer.

However if I get annoyed at all its when playing FIFA- especially when its really obviously just going against you (any FIFA players who use the forums will know about the 'handicap' I assume- its sometimes SO DAMN OBVIOUS when its going against you and it annoys the hell outta me). When annoyed I won't like shout or anything but I'm annoyed on the inside if that makes sense LOL

Depends the game. Sports & racing games where I'm in control I'll generally be content with a loss. However when I'm playing Starcraft 2, DotA 2 & Heroes of Newerth I turn into the most racist, aggressive & intolerable ******* on the internet when things are not in my favor haha.

Full on rage. I mainly play Gears, specifically Judgment and a lot has changed from Gears 3. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I am a pretty competent Gears player, ranked in the 1000s in both Gears 2+3 for various game modes, but I just haven't been able to get accustomed to Judgment which means dying to things I know I could've beaten previously is very frustrating. Also this game has seemed to attract a lot of ******* ******s who have no idea how to play anything other than Call of Duty. Never threw a controller or anything stupid like that though.

I've loved Gears since the first one, and Judgement is just **** online. I played something like an hour online, then decided I'm never playing it again. I do like the overrun game mode, but that's about it!

Some time ago I had an unoffical PS3 controller.
I would play one of my favorite games: Pac Man Championship Edition DX a fast pace kind of game. When I had my offical PS3 controller I was flying through the game with ease. I was eating the ghosts and turning every corner perfectly. I was able to beat my past high scores.
That change when I got my fake controller. I don't be flying through the game anymore. I haven't even beated my high score because of my joint stick. Believe me, buy an offical game controller. Those other ones DON'T do well. It made me SO FRUSTRATED and upset. I would quit the game because of it. Ha Ha.
