Cataclysm,;
You can see a table, you know the table exists. But when you cover a table with a tablecloth (entirely) does the table still exist or does the tablecloth take the density and shape of the table? You can never be sure because you can no longer see the table. To carry it on, do people really exist once we cease to be in contact with them or does the human subconscious create people that we see as we see them and create contact with them via other methods?

Put a camera under the table.
Humans exist.

Putting a camera under the table would make the table visible and perceivable thus rendering the experiment moot.

Isn't this basically another version of "if a tree falls in a forest but no one is around to hear it, did it make a sound??"
but i want to know what sort of forest doesn't have animals :S
Simple, we must look at people at what they are and not what others want us to believe that they are. Therefore, the person still exists and we will always remember them regardless what our subconscious tells us because the moments we shared with the them and the memories we created will never cease to exist and they are eternal.

Flawed premise; you suggest that seeing it proves its existence in the first place

the table doesn't cease to exist because it can be proved that it's still there.

forgetting hallucinogenics?
+blind people still live in the real world.

Blind people percieve the world entirely differently to people with sight.
Inseriousity.

You see the tablecloth which rationally must be in the "density and shape" it assumes only if the table remains there. If the table was no longer existant because it was no longer visible then the tablecloth would have a different density and shape.

nonetheless, it's a world that still exists.

I believe in the physics approach and believe that the table cloth is taking up the space above and around the table, with the table existing underneath. I believe when a person is no longer in view that they exist in space, but not in my perceivable vision. These sorts of philosophical questions make me think what a heavy drug taker may think in cartoons and dodgy films. Deep man, deep.

Belief isn't the same thing as truth though. R Kelly believes he can fly
