It seems they're focusing on a "Touch" market. The icons on the left for messenger etc are pretty big. It does look quite nice though - very similar to Google+ which, in my opinion, has a better layout (and the App is amazing).

I dig it, looks nice and clean, no doubt it'll only be a matter of months before ads appear on the feed like they do on the app (at least on Android they do)

It does look tidier and the icons on the left are smaller than before, the current version it's all over the place. I don't use Google+ but from what I have seen of it, it does similar. But again, like any other layout update on Facebook we'll get used to it. :P

I quite like the look of this. I never really stayed on Google+ as I couldn't (be bothered to) get my head around it so I can't comment on that aspect. Anyway, it looks better than the current one IMO and it'll be a nice change when it does get here.

I have an adblock installed, I guess that could stop the facebook ad's too.
