This combined with the fact it is aimed at an audience who might be questioning their sexuality makes it very unsurprising the seemingly high amount of homosexuals. I'm surprised Habbo has never had a Gay Pride week.

I've just taken some time to think about this subject. Perhaps the high number of paedophiles revealed by the channel 4 investigation can also explain this. Children join Habbo between 10-13 and are groomed by paedophiles. These children are disturbed and scarred for life and wind up gay.

On the other hand the high number of gays on Habbo also results in a large number of paedophiles. These teen gays are so addicted to Habbo that they fail to quit. Before u know it they are preying on the younger users as well.

It is a vicious cyles of paedophiles and gays!

Im suggesting that people are afraid to come out in real life, so you might know alot of gay or les people irl but they just havent come out. On Habbo people dont really care if people know there gay or not because its all virtual. Its like cyber bullies; they probs would never go and say that to your face.

If you look at it from a psychological point of view, why do people go on habbo in the first place? Habbo gives people a chance to interact with other people without being judged on their looks, sexual preferences and disabilities. When people are "hidden" behind a bunch of pixels they feel more comfortable i guess. Talking to complete strangers over the internet is easier that talking to people in real life and really that's the gist of it.
