You can change your name at any point as long as you've had your current username for 12 months or longer.

A lot of the people on this forum don't use habbo any way, but you can only change your username if it matches your habbo username or you're VIP - I think this rule allows people to change their username but will stop people changing their username every two minutes.

Those who don't use Habbo usually don't have their Habbo name, they change it when they have VIP. I think the rules are fine currently :P.

If people want to change their name every week as a VIP member then they're entitled to do that. :P The rules are fine as they are.

Every week? I haven't seen anybody change their name that often. In fact I think it's quite rare for people to change their forum names at all. No rule change is needed.

Perhaps donators are allowed to change their name then?

I think that might be seen as a feature that's not only aesthetic, and is therefore not allowed by Sulake's rules.

But yeah, I think the rules regarding username changes are fine as they are :).

They can't do that as it counts as charging for premium features :P.

I remember I wanted a 2 letter username but I was told I wasn't allowed even though it was my Habbo name :P.

Yeah I think if Habbo allows 1-2 letter usernames, then so should Habbox Forum :P. I can't remember if there was a specific reason why not though, but something tells me there is?

Small usernames causes issues for search and other stuff If I remember correctly.

Well Habbo allows 2 or 3 characters or more, I believe we should stick to what Habbo allows too. However, in some cases they're exceptions like me with a 2 letter name or someone with a 1 letter Habbo name etc. :P.

While I agree in some cases but if it messes up with the search system and also the search in the ACP then it really isn't worth it.

There is some about, most of them are old and inactive but only a few will be active such as tm. We don't advertise that it can be done as technically the rule is to have three characters or more.

Edit: I can't even see if TM did get a name change or he signed it up before it was put onto the registration page. Ah well.

Hi. I was 'tm.' for about 12 hours before this account was changed to my actual Habbo name. Back around this time I was doing a lot of stuff with fansites, forums, habbo experts, habbo guides etc etc so having the correct name was handy so people knew who I was. - efamous no more eh - Not sure who else has a 2 or even a 1 letter name that's still active here now though. I recall a few 1 letter habboxf names such as 'k' but they are certainly inactive now.

Pretty sure it was Sierk who changed my name for me, probably before such records were kept.
