I can help with this..
If you go to the Blogger control panel and click settings you'll see a publishing section, click add a custom domain then press switch to advanced settings.
Enter your domain name into the box and press settings instructions, it will take you to a custom hlp page that can basically instruct you.
To add the CNAME's etc, have a look at this: http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/5112/mapping-your-domain-name-to-work-with-blogger
-- If this isn't clear enough, I'll be happy to help :)
You have the domain name, but don't you need to host the site as well?
Example: I brought my domain with 123-reg and it's hosted with Vidahost

Blogger is technically a web host (albeit a poor one - use Tumblr instead) but instead of pointing name servers, you set a CNAME on your root domain (and www as a CNAME, too).

I disagree. Tumblr isn't what it used to be, it's full of pre-teens reposted GIFs of Glee.
Wordpress is your friend.

No need to shoot me down lol. Thanks anyway! :) I don't see much point in buying a domain name if you're just going to plonk Blogger on there though

For a custom domain, as opposed to xxx.blogger.com (or whatever Blogger's domain format is).

There's every need if you don't know what you're talking about.

Yer :P I'd rather just have the zak.blogspot.com or what ever though :P I suppose domain names aren't that expensive.. esp compared to hosting!

Maybe not about websites, but I know a lot more in general mate! :) No need to be a **** about it :P

I have no idea what this is even supposed to mean.
Why post about websites if you don't know anything about them?

Quick tip: when you're proved wrong, accept it and move on. It'll not only make you better equipped for the future, it'll also stop making you look like a jackass.
