different groups of friends

i have 4-5 different 'groups' of friends and each group is totally different, some will do things that others won't & they're all opposite types of people really which gets really annoying because you can never 'mix' the groups together so to speak

the last time i invited 2 groups together it turned into a massive conflict

does anyone else share this frustration?

Yep there's pretty much no point trying to mix them, if people don't get on then it's not gonna happen and people get annoyed/annoying, just have to split your time and idk lie a lot

yep my housemates hate my course friends and my student media friends, i just make time for each separately (although i spend more time with media friends seeing as that's where my boyfriend is too haha)

Yeah I have about 4 groups of friends, 2 at uni and 2 at home. At uni everyone's more laid back so it's less annoying but at home it's difficult because they don't mix and I have to try and see everyone in the short time that I'm back home from uni - it makes them think I prefer other people and it's hard sometimes.

totally know the feeling. my uni friends and old school friends are so different. the uni ones are older and more mature while the rest are younger party people who i can be comfortable with in the sense of being craycray, with uni friends and new friends im much more reserved
like Tom mentioned, i have to lie as my best friend (who isn't in either group) really dislikes my closest friend in the old school friends so have to lie about where im going or else i get "well if you'd rather go out with her than me..." >_<
other than, that my friends aren't the type to cause drama with others (only with each other) and would be polite if i did introduce them to my uni friends but id prob never do that!

When it was said that there were different versions of someone I get them and don't really thing it's any fakeness, it's just like when you're with family you wouldn't do certain things and stuff. I guess you just do things and talk about things which are interesting to different people aswell as yourself. It's weird how you can have a few different groups of friends who are so different but still love them all to bits!

I think my groups of friends from back home and university would mix well to be honest. Both sort of random groups in a way.
