I'm too lazy to download it and who really cares about a little ad.
If the website has annoying noisy ads, I think it's a rubbish website anyway so in a way ads help me;P

Ads have never bothered me at all on any websites I use, and if they do happen to be noisy I'll just pause and mute them and then they are done from bothering me.
I did once get adblock to try it out but only seems to work on firefox for me anyway not chrome, not that I care about an ad anyway. If it's helping the website i'm using slightly too that I'm not blocking them then that's a bonus cause it's nice to be helpful

you need to install it on each browser, extensions only work on the browser you installed it on.

o i thought that might be why actually, not much point installing it though anyway considering I never used it.

I have it turned on, and sometimes I go around the streets at night and burn billboards in real life too.
I never really have it activated to be honest, unless it's a website that has those horrible Vanish/Febreze adverts with sound.

Reckon I can live with scrolling past a WHOLE 90px at the top of the forum, only thing I can possibly think it would be "necessary" for is youtube but I don't really use it that often anyway so nope, no adblock for me
id do.. but have to pause.

Yes as it's especially useful on Youtube and ITV Player.
Agreed here.
What a huge coincidence.
Er the current poll results show more people use an Adblock for at least some websites, than those who don't? :L
----
I do use an adblock, and yes I use one on all websites. The thing is, I get the ones at the top get money for views - but I certainly have no intention of clicking them and if I can get rid of them, why would I keep them? :S
But yeah, I originally did it as it avoids adverts on ITV Player and Youtube - beforehand I just wouldn't bother watching programs if they were on ITV, and would mute the adverts on youtube and temporarily listen to Spotify...

I am not saying it wasn't, was just responding to him saying "What the **** is Google Play" - as it would suggest he does know what it is if he could put the two together lol

Well if GOOGLE removed it from play, you'd assume they own it.
why did you even bring google play into this conversation......

what the hell are you talking about
google dont need to own something to remove it from googles own services...
He assumed your 'devices' included an android device then said google had removed it from Google play meaning you can use other methods to install it onto your android device other than just google play..

I can see where this thread is going now.
-------
Er, so ad blocks. I can see why they can be damaging to websites, but as someone who uses them whilst using mobile devices, osx or Windows, I can hardly condone others using them.

it makes complete sense.
you just don't understand it..
What's hard to understand, if Google wish to remove an app from their marketplace they have the ability to do so without owning the app..
