Thanks, just started to work on the wall that will surround the castle and it's grounds. The area that it's currently sit on looks a bit of a mess but that will all be sorted and smoothed out later in the project. I've got some nice ideas in my head for it all!

All I can say to that is you're an idiot. Minecraft accounts aren't tradeable, you cannot change the account's email address and all he has to do to get it back from you is do a password reset.
What's more, if he has previously been on this server and caused trouble then there's your answer to that account being banned.

I think you have to make one of those redstone inverter things using redstone tourches.

Anyone got any tips on getting slimes to spawn in SMP - I've been trying on one server for a whole day, and nothing. I'm going into each chunk and creating a 6x6x3 gap at y:25, and after 40 chunks - nothing.

Yeah and the world was basically full of stupid little half-finished buildings and basically no supplies left in the main area - makes sense to make a new map. And people are offering to copy it over... hardly a piss take :/

or you could just create a new spawn point far away in a fresh area so the old stuff is still around but there's also a fresh area to use.

What's the difference really? There's stuff everywhere on the old map, this is a completely fresh start. It's not like we're saying NO STUFF CAN BE COPIED OVER; we are giving you the option to do that....

A fresh start is nice, yes, but after only half a year or less? The whole point of finished creations is that they can still be explored/enjoyed etc. They're just not the same when they've been imported from an old map. When this happens you think what's the point in building anything when it's all just going to be wiped again in a few months.

It's on my list of things to do to clear out the warp list but the command won't work for me, trying to figure that out. The good buildings are (or will be) on the new map, so I really don't understand what you're complaining about. No hard work has been wasted.

At the end of the day, it is my server. I could whitelist it and only allow certain people on if I wanted to and it'd be my decision. I could have just restarted the world without saving the old one and that would have been my decision too but I decided to be fair about it. It did need to be done, no one was coming on, people were obviously bored and had nothing they wanted to do on the old world. Nobody had been on in months. Now there's a regular amount of people on in the evenings and it's back to how it was. You're literally the only person complaining about it so it's not like it's a big deal. I've even offered you OP to copy across all the stuff yourself. Ooo scary warp points, I'll delete them right now.

Not being offered creative is just the final nail in the coffin. What's the point in survival mode when you have several chosen members making massive structures and flying about. For me it's one or the other, not both.

Big deal, the map got wiped which happens a lot on a number of Minecraft servers without even asking the users. The several chosen members are admins of the servers. There are very few members who have creative mode. AFAIK it's only the admins (with reason, ofc) and maybe 2 other people? Because they are HELPING us with our big structures. People ask daily for creative mode, but we never give it out. Don't make it out to be some elitist society, as donators or friendly helpers are the only ones with creative mode. Hell Intricat; wasn't even given creative when I first asked him to help me with spawn!!!

It's amusing how much you don't listen. There never will be a consultation. It wasn't about the old map being bad, the server needed people and a map reset has boosted the numbers playing. Can't deny that. Admins are the only ones with creative. I allow that because these people help me run the server and have helped me copy things across from the old map and deal with issues, hell you've had three admins replying to you in this thread and you still don't listen.

Your inventory is gone, but if you had stuck around instead of running off you'd have waited long enough for me to offer you creative for ten minutes to reimburse yourself, as I have done with many people. I have also offered you OP about five times now so you can copy anything you want that is yours over. Everything is salvageable from the old map and I've told you this many times, no one has to start from scratch or is being forced too. Elmo even offered to copy stuff from the world today but you never replied to him.
