So, obviously at the Millwall and Wigan game their were fights (embarrassingly Millwall vs Millwall). What are your thoughts on football fans and fighting?
Genuinely angers me - go and watch the ******* football, then go home - sport isn't an excuse to have a punch-up!

The first bit of the video is dodgy (the user is clearly pressing the play button) - but it does show some of the imbeciles in action.

I would say a punch up between a fairly large number of fans is still pretty serious.
It has obviously got better, but why is it still happening?

Probably a chance to get on tele, nothing more really.
Could have something to do with the actual teams, like you wouldn't see Wimbledon fans having a scrap in the stands.

Exactly.
Millwall, West Ham, Leeds and Southend are all known for being.. er rough. Oh Cardiff used to be pretty bad too.

The Cardiff v Swansea derby next season will certainly test the police.

Will be interested.
When they came to our ground their fans used to have an addiction to throwing darts. That was a good 12 years ago though.

They have definitely improved in my opinion. I mean now they are semi-literate.
One of many reasons why I dislike football, the sectarianism as well really annoys me.

Yeah, I really don't see why fans need to fight, admittedly they can get angry if their team loses, but it's not an excuse to fight.

There have been vast improvements in this sort of thing (in England at least) but it's still awful to see. Really brings the game down - not just the match at the time, but football as a whole

I agree, not as bad as it used to be... but still.. What makes it worse is that it was at Wembley. Disgrace tbh...

Disgusting behavior, id like to know what they were fighting over...
Celtic FC have the Green Brigade Ultras but we dont really get into fights.
It's more for putting on a show with the flags and drums ect.
Millwall has a shocking history.

I don't get why people get so irrational about a game. Isn't football supposed to be fun or something to enjoy?

The Green Brigade isn't a hooligans/casuals group though...
Fights between different casual groups happen on a weekly basis up and down the UK, this only got reported due to it being inside a stadium whilst ESPN were showing the match live, guaranteed there wouldn't have been much as much a fuss kicked up about it if that wasn't the case.
Just one more reason why I'm falling out of love with football.
It's pathetic and I don't know why people do it.
