View Full Version : How big is Habbo & Habbox in your life?

I was just wondering whiles making some hotdogs, how big a part Habbox and Habbo is in my life. I spend most of my time on Habbox, and only play Habbo for Habbox events and people. I'm pretty much addicted to Habbox mostly. I have loads of spear time with no school so maybe its just me, but do you feel that Habbo(x) is a large part of your life? :)

Erm relatively but i could deal if it just closed suddenly or whatever, I'd get over it quickly. Think the only reason I use it is out of pure boredom at home tbf.

Voted for a bit because I have a real life. Plus if I didn't have Habbox I would still be superbusy with exams.

Used to be big, very small now. Just haven't got the time and it's not as exciting around here anymore.

It used to be a lot larger but now it's only really a bit of my life.

i could click sign out and never talk to anyone here again easily. it's increasingly become a smaller part of my life and it's the last thing i check whereas it used to be the first lol. just isnt the same as before but it's been good to rant and make friends although there are now less and less people i want to stay in touch with. i wouldn't say insignificant but it's only a small part of my life now

I'd say Habbox is quite a substanstial part of my life, it's the first community I've felt genuinely accepted.. It's the only forum I use (apart from my own).. and I like a lot of people who post here. This community isn't full of childish immature idiots.. which is probably why I have stuck around for so long :)

Habbo used to be quite a big part of my life but I just got sick of Sulake's money grabbing ways.. the way they blatently don't care about their users/or staff! That's why I play Runescape instead.. Plus imo it is a better game!

I would say it used to be a big part, but these days I'm not overly bothered and wouldn't ever let it get in the way of anything important in life.

Habbo is very small part of my life I really don't care about it that much anymore, only really go on to check to see if anything new out for news and to talk to friends and to have breakdowns.

Habbox is quite a bit larger for me and I care quite a bit about news and stuff, but like I do sorta have a life around it as well lmfao

habbo, not a lot. i only go on it to talk to a few people but i could easily log off. Hxf a little, it's nice to talk to others but like habbo i could log off and get on with others things pretty easy.

Couldn't care about habbo, wouldn't be fussed if HxF closed in the next hour.

Only use it because it is there I guess?

i think since finishing school habbo(x) has become a lot bigger to me. i don't exactly have much else to do during the week, considering the rest of my friends have gone onto university :P at the weekend it becomes a different story i guess, i have much more of a social life and habbo(x) is the last thing on my mind

unless i've forgotten to do my hours, now that's a whole different story LMAO Red;

It's quite a big part of my life. Met some great people and had a lot of fun and banter. I wouldn't be crying if Habbox closed or anything like that and the people would still be around so I could make the effort to keep in touch with the great ones (and hope the annoying ones vanish).

I voted 'a bit'. I have a job here and I've always contributed to the site, so obviously it is a part of my life - but I wouldn't say it's a big part of my life, as I obviously have bigger priorities :P.

It's a big part of life, just kills the boredome and I make some pretty nice friends off it. If Habbo/x closed, I could survive, but it would be difficult. I would probable try that Lego game xxMATTGxx; is always on.

Yeah it's a major part of my life!

I wouldn't know what to do with myself if it just suddenly closed ahaa... so many memories on it, admittedly some not so great, but still. Also it's a place I come to get away from all the horror and stress of life

I'd probably find a new forum, but I'd never make friends there or properly join in with the topics like I do here.

With habbo, couldn'tcareless.

A very big part of my life, and I'm not ashamed to admit it :P I guess in some respects I've used Habbox/Habbo as a way of making up for not really being confident enough to have a life in the real world, or do all the normal things that people do, go socialising and stuff. I really do see the friends I make here just as good as any real friend ever would be and I care about them all hugely. I've been so lucky to get to meet a few of them in the real world, and its made me feel normal in some respects I guess, and given me so much confidence that I thought I would never have. Going alone to Ireland last year was probably one of the most adventurous things I've ever done in life, and that was able to happen all thanks to this site! I really don't know what I would do without it, because it just fills up such a big part of me, its become a routine almost, and kept me going, and believing that things can change if you really want them to. It is so much easier to losen up a bit online and really be yourself, and I guess just being able to talk to people and consider people friends means the world.

I would say it used to be a big part, but these days I'm not overly bothered and wouldn't ever let it get in the way of anything important in life.
It sounds funny but I can kind of tell :P I think last summer you were the biggest addict I've ever known haha, and I will never forget when you broke my heart and told me that Habbox meant more to you than being my friend haha. :( bad times, but I really don't blame you haha!! :P

I don't remember ever saying that to be honest, Habbox is and always has been nothing more than something to pass the time. Life > Habbox!

I don't remember ever saying that to be honest, Habbox is and always has been nothing more than something to pass the time. Life > Habbox!

pfft, thats the worst memory I have to date in life so far, and something I will never forget! :P It was a hypothetical question I asked you last summer. I still don't know whether you really meant it or not, but at the time it felt like you did and it hurt a lot haha after everything, after knowing you so long and seeing you were my first best friend in life, which you still are and I love ya to pieces haha.

To keep on topic, I think Habbox provides a lot in terms of memories and stuff for some people. Even now, i still think back to conversations I've had with old forum members who have left ages ago, like Garion, James, Nikki, Oli etc, and I do miss them in some respects, because when you talk to these people daily for a few years, it does feel odd when you move on and talk to other people haha. It certainly does kill boredom, but I think it does prevent a lot of opportunities to make friends and stuff, and we've seen loads of people meet up over the years, loads of relationships come out of this which is so lovely to see!

What is real life and where can I download one?

In all seriousness it's one of the biggest things in my life and I actualy have a huge addiction. Bolt660; Inseriousity.; ;) I've met some amazing people on here and if HxF were to close tonight there would be a huge gap in my life and I can't imagine what else I'd do with my time. It's the first thing I check when waking up and is the last thing I do before going to bed. It's probably one of the main things I ever really think about.

I realise how extremely sad this sounds but yer. :(

Despite using habbo since 2002, 11 years ago - It isn't "big" in my life.

I would say it's influenced and strengthened me as a person in the way that I communicate, socialize and my general life philosophies. However it's never been prioritized, habbo sort of just happened... and I stuck with it to particular degrees throughout the past decade.

I said a bit. It used to be a lot more. I could definitely get along fine without it but I'd find myself bored a lot :P

voted 'not really'

i'm using both of these sites less and less, well habbo i don't use anymore, and this is just open but occasionally looked at to make the post and then it backs to watching something or revising or twitter or tumblr.

at one point i'd always be on hxf and/or habbo because the people on there meant so much to me and i had really good chats with people, but i had to sort out my priorities with exams and scrap habbo, leaving talking to skype. i don't really talk to so many people anymore either, which is a shame but it does mean if hxf was to close tomorrow i'd get over it real quick.

Not really, maybe it used to be a sizable portion when I played on the hotel and was involved in Habbox management... but not nowadays to both of them. :P I think i'm in my twilight years as they say.

I still enjoy the forum though as something to do on the side, small staff role as well - I just find it interesting to see what people think.

I say a couple of years ago I would consider it to be quite a big part of my life. But now I'm older and also working it has lowered quite a bit. I have met some great people from here though, people I've met up with and also people thanks to this who place I speak to every single day. Those people aren't as active around here nowadays but it has been a great source of making some great friends and connections for sure.

But yeah there has been some good and bad times on this place. Always got to love the drama when that occurs.

But in terms of the poll it would be in the middle of "Big and a bit"
