The Apprentice started yesterday, surprised there isn't a thread for this so thought I'd make one. I'll put my thoughts about yesterday's episode in spoilers just in case you didn't realise it was on
I found this episode really funny. Disappointed Jaz got fired, her patronising, cheery enthusiasm would be annoying if I was there but it was so funny to watch. The guy with the OTT hand gestures and telling Lord Sugar after they won how he's going to prove himself. Brilliant.
Any early contenders for who you think's going to win? Does that Stella English lookalike have any chance of victory after Stella lost at an employment tribunal against Lord Sugar? lolol

I thought this exactly :P My favourites so far are Myles, Neil, Leah and Luisa, but we'll see as time goes on I guess :D Next episode is on tonight :)

I like the Apprentice every series... when I watched episode one I was going to sleep because of the delay on iPlayer so I missed a small bit. I'm going to watch episode two after Eastenders.

Watched it, and thought the same about the Stella English thing :L Would have been recorded before that though, right?
Made me laugh here;
Male contestant 1: Has anyone ever said you look like anyone?
Male contestant 2: Erm, a few people have said I look a bit like Freddie Mercury
Male contestant 1: No... Dracula
Brilliant.

Love the apprentice only watched it for a few years. Would have loved to see the full series of Stuart Brags the brand ha. For those who didn't realise it was a double bill with an episode on both Tuesday and Wednesday (back to one a week now though).
Episode 1 was good but I preferred episode 2. The fact that the guys went to try and sell barrels of beer to pubs and didn't think to take a sample was both stupid and hilarious. The posh guy was also funny especially when to the camera trying to be rude about his team mates but in a posh way.

You could tell about 10 minutes into that episode that the girls had no chance in hell at winning. The teams are mixed up next week, so at least one of the girls will finally win a task. The project manager Jordan seemed pretty good this week! Not a fan of Jason :P

Who watched the final and were you surprised who won. I'm glad Luisa didn't win, not that she didn't have a good plan or anything but I found her really rude throughout most of the process although she did improve near the end.

Tbh I liked both of them when it came to the final and both ideas are quite good (especially Leah's considering how much the cosmetic industry is booming), but Leah's definitely had a much more professional personality IMO and I knew Alan would be up for taking a risk :P

Bit of a risk but hopefully it can be pulled off for both of them :P
It was nice to see Jason back on the TV though, he always made me laugh.
The best person won imo, Luisa is already pretty successful and Lord Sugar can expand his 'empire' getting into the medical industry.

I was thinking at the time that he had made completely the wrong decision especially cause of all that the experts had said about people going to people they already know in cosmetics and stuff like that, as well as luisa's just being safer really.
I still thought both deserved to win though and I did sorta expect the risk to come so yea

Lord Sugar invested in Susan Ma's skin care company, I know it's not surgical but it's kind of along the same line? Could have also been a reason as to why he invested in Leah.

Hence why they agreed to change the name to Dr Leah instead of Niks, people will also go with this business as they know it's linked to Lord Sugar so they wont be in any financial problems therefore know they wont cut corners. If you also think of the profit margins between cupcakes and cosmetic!

yea that'[s the sort of thing that has made me decide that it wasn't really the wrong choice in the end tbh. I think a lot of my opinion was based upon who i see as the nicer person really though (louisa)
i h8 all the ppl saying he made the wrong decision etc seriously wtf do u know?

Sorry but Louisa the nicest person? She may have changed throughout the competition but she was often condescending, bossy to the extreme. Leah I found had a much better attitude and as she mentioned (I think it was her) she won't say anything if there's nothing to say

Just realised I never posted in this thread despite watching the series lol. I didn't expect Leah to win, but I would say she probably needed the money and the partnership with Lord Sugar more than Louisa because of the risk and the fact she doesn't already have 3 businesses :L! I did want Lousia to win, but oh we'll - she's still opening the Bakers Toolbox thing. Plus I went to her cupcakery in St Albans last year (H), but didn't know it was here until a few days ago. I'll have to go back there :P.
