View Full Version : Can anyone install vBulletin.. ive been doing it all day and all i get is errors..

I saw your other thread... what host are you using and are you actually using a legit version? vBulletin installs are pretty straightforward...

i know, ive installed loads before and yeah its legit & zfast, i had it installed but someone deleted it and now it wont work

Whats the url to the place you are trying to install it to? And what errors is it showing

then when you hit ignore and continue it gets to step two and then aborts

Tried doing a fresh install? E.g removing everything and trying a new db

It's not that hard to install vBulletin, all signs point to you using an illegal version.

Either that or a crap host.

Try editing install/init.php

Where the vBulletin idiot says remove the line (hey, what happens if it defaults to true? it happens!) try this:


ini_set('display_errors', false);

Surely all that would do is not display the errrors, yet the errors are still lurking ?

The error is because of output being sent (by error reporting) before headers are sent by php which makes php have a hissy fit. Suppressing all output will stop headers from being unable to be sent.
