Girls, if you want children in the future, would you put yourself through the painful thing that is childbirth and have children? Or would you adopt etc.

If you don't mind me asking, why a c section? I'm really interested in why people straight out choose that route.

the thought of childbirth has always freaked me out and i'm a really anxious person, so i think childbirth would just put me into shock which'd probably lead to me having a csection any way.

i think it's less stressful for the baby and i've met people who have had problems after childbirth with being sewed up wrong and such.

i used to wanna be an older mum with career sorted plus thought i wouldnt meet a man for a long time and all but seriously , starting to want to be a RELATIVELY young mum..

lolol you better hope they choose route A or you're out of a job!
I do want to have children but I'm lucky that I don't have to put up with the pain, just the pleasure ;)

I'm Male, so I don't have to worry about the pain. I want 2, perhaps 3 depending on the genders of the first two.

Ok guys, as you won't have to worry about the pain, how do you think you will handle it emotionally. If you were present at the birth how do you think you would react?

I imagine I'd be crapping myself with worry, be nervous as hell that I was doing something wrong, and I imagine when all the stress of giving birth was over, I'd be roaring my eyes out... And my girlfriend (well, she'd be my wife by then) would probably be telling me to get a grip or something, because she did all the hard work :P

Hey! I'm not that bad :P Although, yeah, that's so true, I do have to do all the work :P You're supposed to be looking after me, not the other way around :P

I completely 100% want children. First choice would obvs be my own, but if that wasn't possible (god forbid), I'd definitely adopt, not go by sperm donor.

If I was giving birth before I was like 32, I'd want a natural birth, and at home if I had an established home. If not I'd have a birth in a hospital and ask them to give me drugs only when I was desperate. Obviously if there was any complications with my pregnancy I'd have it in the hospital.

One of my closest friends actually got pregnant recently so we really had the chance to think about it 24/7 and what we would do if we were her. Like my other friends, I also decided I would have aborted if it was me. 4 years of studying in Scotland ahead of me, and I really wouldn't want to go there pregnant.

After those 4 years, if my career or my lack of it doesn't get in front of my personal life, I would really want to have kids, still not sure if my own or adopted, because it must be so painful. >.< I really want to have kids when I'm like, pretty young (? I mean like not more than 30 years old) because my mother had my brother when she was 19 and it's cute how they used to look more like sister and brother than mother and son. xD So yeah, anyway, lets just hope I don't screw them up.

I've been with my boyfriend since I was 14, I'm now older than 18 younger than 25 ;). I want 1 child, he wants a whole football team if he could haha. But before I have even 1 child I have to be 100% sure I am in such a secure financial situation. I'm currently in debt with uni so I can't imagine it would be any time soon. But If I did have one, I'd want to provide the child with the best I could and not have to scrounge of my parents for money or the government for that matter. I'd like a natural birth as possible because I'd rather pain than either being cut open or a huge needle in my spine.

i HATE kids.

Anyone under the age of 13 does my head in. I really don't know why, there's just something about them. And all the kids I have met smell kind of weird soo.. ;/

So yeah, no I don't want kids. Plus they'd probably take all my money and hate me anyway so whats the point. Off to the bahamas every year me, but with kids it'll be Scarborough every year ;/

I know this is aimed at girls but i thought i would comment anyways, I do want children (2 or 3) in the future but I am gay and therefore I would need to adopt. Would feel good giving an abandoned (i know its not always the parents fault i.e. money issues etc) baby a life it deserves!
