Hi people,

I am looking on downloading Windows 8 via a certain website and then installing it onto my laptop with is currently running Windows 7. The reason for me wanting to do this is because I am intergiued to try Windows 8 however I do not wish to pay because it doesn't look very good and im skint.

Is there anybody who may have touched on this subject before and would be able to give me a hand? The trouble Im facing is activation's etc.

Cheers,
Lee.

I don't think habbox likes posts like this:P You can download a trial though from http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/business/products/downloads-and-free-trials.aspx

The preview for Windows 8.1 will be released in June, which may allow W7 user access too.

Im not after any trials or anything like that. I want a solid download for Windows 8. Habbox doesn't like linking to torrents or illegal downloads being posted on the forum - however that is not what I'm asking ;)

Why do you need to activate it if you're only trying it?

I'd prefer to have it on my Latop. My laptop is my secondary system over my actual PC I cba messing around with virtuals etc I also need to clear the laptop of a lot of **** and it would be easy done by removing the OS its on and installing a new one :)

Then use the famous illegal sites to get yourself a copy seeing as you don't want to use the trial or buy it.

Yea but I have searched but when it comes to operating systems i dont know what Im looking for Searching Windows 8 is all good but I dont want to download and install one to find out it doesnt work. Also Im not too sure how activators work or whatever windows 8 requires. If anbody has knowledge or experience with this it would be helpful.

I'm pretty sure this thread is encouraging illegal practices..

But anyway, I can't help you - however, I am also looking to get Windows 8 but if my Windows 7 isn't genuine (I used an OEM from my laptop) then can I still upgrade to a retail version of Windows 8? Easier to ask here than make a new thread :P.

Don't know where you're going but the first one I looked at said this in the description;

including Permanent activation serials, with normal over the internet activation method. Simply use serials provided and activate as a normal retail copy right over the internet with no special activation methods needed.

can't help but think you're a moron ngl

Yeah so what's the rule we can talk about illegal downloads but just can't share the links publicly?

So it's no longer against the rules to encourage illegal activity?

in this case, no.

What do you mean in this case? Surely the same rules should apply to everyone in every case. When people talking about buying/selling Habbo furni it's regarding as encouraging illegal activity, and that's the same as what I can see in this thread.

buying and selling habbo furni is actually mentioned in the rules, "encouraging breaking the habbo way/T&C"

linking to sites and talking about illegal downloads isnt. ive been edited for linking piratebay before by lee, i told him to shut up and chris removed it.

Yeah just saw that. Idk why it's allowed to encourage illegal activity, but not to encourage breaking the Habbo Way :P.

It seems kind of backwards. It should be no illegal talk of any kind of illegal talk really.

A6. Do not use this forum for any illegal practices, including but not limited to:

Being involved in hacking or encouraging hacking.
Breaking of the Habbo Way or encouraging T&C violation.
Posting warez or other illegal downloads.

Surely the part in red comes into play? If not, it's funny to note that it's against the rules of accusing someone of doing something illegal, but it's not against the rules for someone to do something illegal.

Couldn't agree more. I'm still surprised that it's allowed to encourage illegal activity like this!
