Stanley Parable HELP

I downloaded Stanley parable and I got it onto steam but when i click 'play' to play it nothing happens, really nothing, but at the bottom it says this,

can someone please HELP me ?

Have you tried uninstalling that and then re installing the particular software?

What steam or the actual game?

The actual game put if it comes to it try re downloading steam other than that if it doesn't work the file maybe corrupt!
Or possibly use google my "donna kebbab" ;) x
