View Full Version : Habbo DK Deleting Inactive Accounts

On the 31st July those accounts not logged in within the last 6 months will be deleted, there isn't much warning is there :P?

After the merge of the English-speaking Hotels we were told that a name deletion wouldn't occur, yet those accounts not merged were threatened with deletion and Habbo followed that process through. In 2011 between April and July various names were deleted and many more IDs were created with players harbouring these 'rare' names and now, the DK Hotel will be deleting inactive accounts at the end of July this year!

An email has been released today showing members of all hotels that the name deletion will occur on those inactive accounts that players might have forgotten about or just left, but the deadline day is fast approaching with just over 2 months to make sure your account is active. Also, it's a bit vague (the email) as 'inactive' could mean you haven't visited, but will this also occur with those accounts not logged in for years? Only time will tell, but the hotel has given a short inactivity period in which you must have visited your account.

Reiterating about the email, it informs readers that those accounts not accessed within the last 6 months will be deleted, the accounts not in use will be cleared from their database and after the 31st July the deleted account's username and password will no longer be applicable - I wonder whether the name deletion will be popular for the DK Hotel!

It's unknown why such a move is being made, but again it might just be that many accounts have been made and have not been used therefore they can be put to use elsewhere by another member.

What do you think of the name deletion for this hotel and is it a bit short notice for those who haven't played in a while? Share your views by clicking 'Read More and Comment.'

I think it might be the same hotel? Either that or one that has a similar extension to DK, might be DE or whatever :P.

That is ridic. It would be nice to know you can have a lengthy break from habbo and come back and have your accounts still intact ;l

Poor .dk , hasn't had much luck recently has it. Including the fact they put a gambling ban on it.

Yeah that's quite short but still a good 2 months.

It should at least be a year, or two. I know many .com'ers who haven't played for six months and i'd hate it to happen to our hotel.

However, it was notified on email so people who haven't played Habbo in six months should get the message.

True, but you don't need a real email to join so they might not know, I wonder how many inactive accounts there are though?

probably a kick to make users log back in too to boost numbers. Again, they'll only delete accounts of those without furniture on

IKR? What if (I'm sure not many people do this, but still...) you go travelling for 6 months and don't come online to even check your email?

Should at least be years.

I knew in my report I wanted to say something about a type of account, but I couldn't think of what it was, banned accounts that's it! Well I think if they're permed with no way of getting unpermed then they could be deleted? If it's only a little while probably not, of course it might be the same rule - if they got banned more than 6 months ago thus no one has accessed it then probably. Then again, it might be the ID that gets removed?

Well travelling, school work, uni things like that they last for over 6 months, and so accounts will be deleted because of that? It's a bit silly and it should be over 6 months at least, I know it's 2 months notice, but they might not use the email or anything now :P.

the same thing as happened to .com will only happen again.. everyone rushes to create multiple new accounts with good names and then leave them there doing nothing... meaning habbo will probably have to do something similar in a year or two

If they're not deleting accounts with furni on then it doesn't really matter so much.

Hope they'll consider about this as i find it a little unfair as some people might be busy with work, school or exams. I'll be mad if I have loads of rares on that account at found out it got deleted :l
