What do you think about Denmark winning? Did you vote/would you have voted for her?

I think she had a good song, but I didn't think it was as good as the previous is or that it was that better than the other songs in the contest.

It wasnt the best one there. I don't know what was tbqh.
I don't vote because I feel like my vote just doesn't mean anything on these TV shows.

Lol it actually does. If everyone thought like you, no one would ever vote. xD This probably wasn't the case because Denmark won by lots, but one vote can make the difference.

Denmark was my second favourite to win personally so I do think it was a good thing that they won in some ways, though I did think Norway was the best by miles really lmao, and suprised they didn't come 2nd/3rd tbh but they still did okish I suppose. I didn't vote though myself.

Yeah, Norway did really good. I was too busy looking at those 5 feet hips in that thin dress though so when she performed I didn't really listen to the song. xD

Yup! Only thing I was surprised about was Azerbaijan. Should of been Denmark, Russia and Ukraine for top 3!

Uh..excuse me? Bonnie Tyler, unknown? She has been nominated for 3 Grammys, has won Best Singer in 78, ComeBack Of The Year in 83, Best International Singer in 93. She was nominated for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Single, winning Best Selling Single in 84 with Total Eclipse Of The Heart, just one of the best love songs ever! She won in 99 the Lifetime Rock International award and in 2005, Lifetime Award.

Doesn't seem unknown to me, seems pretty famous actually. You just need a little bit of 80's music knowledge, but even without it, everyone knows the songs Holding Out For A Hero and Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

She still is a popular singer! Last summer I went to Optimus alive, a concert here in Portugal where she was going to be, and you have no idea how people were loving her! She is not adele, but there is a HUGE step between being adele to being unknown. She is a really good singer and the song, I agree it should at least have been one of the grammy nominated ones.

Because people like Adele would never do Eurovision.

Denmark was my favourite, and I thought it was the best song there by quite a bit. I thought Germany, Russia, Iceland and Finland would also be up there, but only Russia got close.

As for the UK, we don't even choose who we pick anymore :P

It's against the rules to perform an old song, has to be brand new for Eurovision.

Do they even ask? :S It would be much more interesting with people who are well known to people my age. :)

Oh, but I thought I read she already had that song? o.o Maybe I didn't read properly because that makes sense. Was she the one writting the song?

Bonnie Tyler is still fairly popular I would say, holding out for a hero was released early 1980s and a fair few people around my age (who were born 1996+) still know of her. Sure she's no Adele but there is no denying she is a remarkable singer.

Getting a more recent person would have definitely been a wiser choice though. I hope we EVENTUALLY LEARN THAT AND DO IT NEXT YEAR.

If they did ask, the decision probably wouldn't even get through their management to the singer itself. And plenty of people your age know who Bonnie Tyler is.

Americans can take part in Eurovision.

And I'm afraid you're not going to get current singers for the UK, no matter how much you want them.

Well, since I don't run the Eurovision and have nothing to do with it, it's very unlikely I will get someone... and an American can be the person who represents UK? :L

People on Twitter would have gathered this from my raging on the night :P

She was really good imo, but not as good as some.

It's not true 'eurovision' style either.. like waterloo was fun, like eurovision should be. People are taking it too serious now

Personally I feel like people take it less seriously now than they used too. See 2006 for example.

I was rooting for Denmark to win and I thought Denmark deserved it.
Skandair; even with a good act our chances of winning would be fairly low. We certainly wouldn't pick somebody like Adele to do it as the show isn't for her and she'd probably be ridiculed and taken less seriously.

Rylan for next years Eurovision.

Little Boots said she's up for Eurovision next year, and her music style is quite similar to what we've seen in Eurovision in recent years.

Everyone hates Britain :'( But the show would be more interesting if it was Adele ;)

All Eurovision songs are rubbish to me anyway, even Abba.

What do you mean? Some of the songs are brilliant.

For example Sweden have been good for two (well three years, but this year wasn't my fav)

2011 - Eric Saade. I love him.
2012 - Loreen. Brilliant.

France was one of the worst! Couldn't stand it :P

The Netherlands' song has really grown on me over the last few days, I loved it during the show, but only put it 9th, and everyone I was watching the show with seemed to hate it, but I think it's great!

Oh man I think you take Eurovision a little too seriously if you can't appreciate some of the good artists on there because we are destined to lose.
