Shooting Range

Has anyone been to a shooting range before? I'm hopefully gonna be planning a group shooting session (if thats what they call it) for someones birthday sometime soon but I don't want to pay a fortune to find out it's absolutely useless and boring.

Depends what type. I go Clay Pigeon shooting all the time and it's pretty fun. Wouldn't book it for a large group though as there's a lot of standing around.

That's actually what's pal, clay pigeon shooting with a rifle. Does the clay pigeon or w/e get shot up in the air and you have to follow it or am I watching too many movies? :P
