Donator / VIP Suggestion

Hello :)
Could Donators or VIPs have a longer time to edit posts? Might be a nice handy feature :)

I know when I've worked with Xenforo, there is a mod that allows moderators to view the edit history of a post and compare them. Is there something similar for vBulletin???

VIPs could be allowed, donators wouldn't be as it may class as a premium feature.

Can only view the history if you edit your post after a certain amount of time. If you edit it almost immediately, it won't show. Only when the bit at the bottom says "edited by" can we see the history :P

Then why can't it be introduced for VIPs. If there ever needed to be a mini investigation with Sherlock Elliot on the case, you can use your nifty tool bag (edit history) to crack the case!

You get to see your own post edits anyway which is fine :P The idea of VIPs having longer to edit isn't a bad suggestion though
Well normal mods can only see edits of the sections they moderate whereas smods/admins can see anyones :D

I find 15 minutes quite ideal editing wise. I mean if it was increased to a big amount we could see an increase of abuse with that feature. But to me I find 15 minutes perfect. May just be me :P

I wouldn't prefer it as a premium feature, but I'd like for the time to be increased to around 30 minutes.

15 minutes is fine. If you need it edited otherwise mods are usually happy to help.

Well yeah, there is this. We could add in information if requested, but it's also allowed for users to do a double post if they are adding information to the thread outside the 15 minute editing time

That merge post feature thing is the damn thing on this forum, just saying.
It's so handy if you cba to edit your post within the 15 mins

15 mins is fine for the editing time, being able to edit first post in the trading forums would be good but I guess that can lead to abuse. As for the post merge feature, I don't think the time needs to be increased or reduced on that, it works fine as it is and is a great feature to have :D.

I know! I bought 3 months of blue (??) and 12 months of rainbow :)
I also have 6 months of VIP on my account.
I've put my hand in my pocket for Habbox - not nearly enough to make a big difference but hey ho :(

Exactly this. It does happen from time to time.

15 minutes is plenty long enough to edit your post, if you need it to be edited after this time then you can contact a moderator or make a new post.

I think he was only asking for like a 5 minute extension which gives the user a bit more time to edit and isn't much more open to abuse than the 15 min edit time.

15 minutes is plenty long enough to edit your post, if you need it to be edited after this time then you can contact a moderator or make a new post.

Um excuse me but Donators are kind enough to donate I think we deserve a merit also tyvm :)

I think the problem is is that its then a premium feature that we are allowing users to buy and Sulake dont generally like us to do anything more than give a coloured username to people that donate :P.

Vip is bought from furni and credits to senior management right well it is bought from real money also and Donator is something that we generally give from our money also which I personally think that we also deserve more than a color name to be honest but ya.

I remember when the 15 minute edit limit got introduced, when orginially there was no limit. Not many people were very happy about it :P

But I think it's fine the way it is :)
