would never try internet dating cos i would be too scared if i found this v attractive man online and then when we met up he was bald, 40 and 600.12 stone and has broken 34 gastric bands
would perhaps consider going on a date if he was a friend of a friend or something
yes i have like twice or three times tbh maybe more, but only sometimes they work out. they seem to like me by the end but i don't usually like them lol. like once it has maybe worked out

yeah one time when i was in school i liked this guy in the year below me but we'd never spoken and so my teacher made me write a note in his book telling him that he was hot (he left his book in the classroom) so i did and then he added me on facebook and then my teacher organised an entire class trip to go see a play with my year and the year below and then we went for drinks after but we still didn't talk, then he asked me did i wanna go cinema on facebook so i said ye ok and so then i met him and he was late ;l and then after the date he walked me home and he ASKED TO KISS ME like who does that?
anyway i ended up not liking him
then my first date with my first proper longterm bf he also asked me to cinema on msn on webcam and we also kissed waiting for the bus for first time and that was a cute date but my tummy kept rumbling and he laughed weird but we went out for like 2 yrs after that
there have prob been others that i can't remember, erm going to one boys house for a movie THEN MEETING HIS MUM!!!!
yes empired internet dating seems like disaster cos ppl always look diff in their piccycs if u not met them irl and omg i cant even imagine

yea been on a blind date, set up by my friends boyfriend at her birthday party. he had a moustache (we were 15) and wore brown trousers UGH. only really had him to talk to n he refused to let me pay for anything :/ asked if i wanted to see him again n i was like no not interested in dating lol
ive been asked out on dates by people ive just met or people i hardly know but ive never been interested. i don't like guys who are interested in me :l i prefer to work hard for them n be interested in them first. maybe if im in late 20's early 30's and single id do it.
Inseriousity.

never had a date looking for love, always had a girlfriend and went out with them. although tara's story about the trip to the cinema is so cute cos that was almost exactly like me. Was dating a girl for a while so we went to cinemas and I spent the whole movie wondering whether I should do that arm thing (pretend to stretch LOL god I was so young) and whether she was at that stage in the relationship to be intimate so someone asking I can totally relate to - I didn't ask like he did, I just plucked up the courage and went for it but it'd have been so much easier if there was a sign. Don't be so harsh on him tara :(
Online dating ftw, less of these awkward and embarrassing dates. can't go wrong with habburgers.
Never been on a date with someone I barely know. Got with my (now ex) girlfriend after knowing her for a while and then we went out on 'dates' and such after.

Nope seems a weird way of doing things to me, very synthetic environment

how would you get to know someone then? just genuinely curious cos i've only had about 3/4 proper boyfriends in my time and besides the first 2, i'd usually get with them on a night out drunk and then go meet them somewhere one on one, which surely classifies as a date...

I usually know people before I get with them like friends who turn into something else or w/e, don't think I've ever met up with someone after getting with them in a club as a stranger

never been on one. me and dates don't really go into the same sentence, don't really have to say anything else

yeah but surely going on a date with an acquaintance is more or less the same as going on one with a random you've met in a club
I've never went on a date with a stranger but I can't see it being much different, how else are you meant to get to know them?

With me an my current boyfriend he sort of asked me out over a text as I said if I wanted to go to the cinema I wouldn't have anyone to go with so he said he would go with me. I must have agreed to an extent as he said:
"Omg I can't believe I just asked you out and you sort of said yes."
Then I said that it wasn't a date as I'd just got out of a relationship and everything and didn't know what was happening with that, then I found my ex was a douche so one day I waited for my boyfriend to come out of work, he walked over to me and hugged me so I kissed him (he didn't even expect it and girls can kiss guys ok) and he was so shocked and everything, but we weren't dating then as our 'cinema date' was on the Monday.
Anyway, Monday came and we didn't go to the cinema as I'd never been on a date before - even with my ex, we were dating 21 months and never went on a proper date. So we went shopping and stuff so we could talk and he agreed he'd ask me out properly not over a text.
He then went to the toilet and I knew he'd come back, come behind me and ask me out and he did, we've been together ever since woo 6 months. So does that count?

idk I don't really do one-on-one that much except in the bedroom and not even then always :P might just be that I prefer doing social things as a group usually so if I'm gonna be with someone they're going to need to be good around my friends and stuff anyway so might as well has everyone there to make me look good, obv not everyone will be like that though

I go on a date often with my fiance still. At first, it was like omg hey *Breaths* so how are you * Breaths * He says so did you love spending your time with me tonight? I was like *Ummmmmm * breaths * Yes it was lovely*
We have been together for 2 years and 6 months and it is fine now :) Just the moment he proposed me to get engaged I was like *Really Omg I almost fainted* lol but it was so romantic :)
Just take your time and live the moment. No rush. It is normal to be shy at first on the first date but eventually it will break the ice and you will be fine :)

Thank you x
I've been on dates with people but I've been speaking to them for a while before I asked them out, does that count?
