New room for all chat beta testers has been made with a poll asking on our feedback.

You can also change the size, font and colour of your text. Also, you can make your text italics, underlined and bold as and when you want to.

Not sure if this is better suited somewhere else just thought I'd keep people updated. The group suggests around 20 people have the current chat BETA.

Changing the text colors font and size is just a bug like what happens with motto..

I like how shout goes in bold, and whisper goes in italics. People being able to just set their text to that will be confusing, surely?

I like the idea of customization if I only have to do it once, if I have to customize every time I load the client ie with the coloured speech bubbles then I don't think I'd ever bother:P

Before you comment saying this will lead to exploits, no it will not (for the most part/for the obvious part at least), meaning that you can't do thinks like meta tags, img's, iframes, etc, it only allows certain things (font related html edits)

the bubbles and the way the float on the screen is horrrrrrrribllllle everytime someone presses enter it matches up with the other person who has at same time and it just doesnt look right!! its just too much

chat history is nice but if they do introduce the new chat bubbles, I will never step in a room with more than 10 people

The way the bubbles overlap at the bottom, then move up, and some of them shift horizontally looks all odd.

when this is fully released to the public, im sure this wont be like this.. also great song!

Apparently Mottos had these broader horizons as well, and Habbo removed them, so don't expect colors/different font when everyone gets beta (if they decide to release it, that is.)

I can't wait for the pitchforks and torches when and if this is implemented, it'll be like that time they tacked that tiny mute icon on our bubbles. Anyone remember that? They plastered that little icon thing at the end of EVERYONE'S bubble, as if taking two clicks to mute someone was such an effort. Good lord. On the plus side, I do like a better view of chat history.

If you want bold text then shout, if you want italic text than whisper. Habbo doesn't need text customization.

It shouldn't be like that tbh. We should be able to choose our chat customization under settings on whether we want the new chat bubbles or not, and also the colored text bubbles. When we sign up to habbo we should be able to choose also as the people that join would not know how to change it.

It says each room will have the ability to allow it or not. We should be able to manually change it ourselves in the account settings and not deal with it by which room we go to.

Ahh I see... I agree with you then, that would make more sense basing it on personal preference rather than room owner preference.

I definitely agree that it should be based on personal preference. I don't see why a different room type would warrant having to use one system over the other...

I guess the reason for leaving it with room owners is just because it'll fit with some rooms more than others, e.g. In a small room you won't want the new chat but in the large room you will (or is it the other way round?), so in that way it's good that it'll now be different for each room provided the room owner is choosing what works best in their room, which again depends on the room layout used and the structure of the room itself.

However, an option for the user to just turn of all the new chat and keep it as it currently is in all rooms might be good, but then again I guess we should all just get used to it as it'll be good for the new big rooms :P.
