Kim Kardashian revealed she is considering eating her own placenta in a bid to make her 'look younger' on her reality TV show on Sunday night.

But in the meantime, the 32-year-old opted for more conventional fare while on a lunch outing on Monday.

Stepping out the day after her grand baby shower, she headed for a bite to eat at popular Italian restaurant Cecconi's in West Hollywood.

I think that I remember on one of her episodes that she ate only pineapples for 2 days to make her... youknowwhat taste better. Then she rubbed it on a towel got her sisters to do it too and they compared, so I'm not surprised that she would do something like this.

However placentophagy is common in nature, and has scientific research that it improves things like replenishing iron, aiding in lactation, and giving the mother stress-relieving hormones. But I personally wouldn't do this and I think that the media is giving Kim a hard time about it (particularly Fox News).

that's correct its really good for you. not many people actually eat it but they do donate the cord blood which helps save a lot of lives.

It may be 'good for you' in the sense that eating another mans heart after he dies may contain lots of goodies, fact is we've moved past eating afterbirth or then so we thought so. Seems to me like another stupid celebrity craze that will wither away in the next few years. :P

That's not really a good comparison... The women that eat their own placenta(s) aren't going to go on and eat their owns hearts or the hearts of others because they have a taste for human. It isn't a fact that we've moved past eating the afterbirth, when it's fact that some people still eat their own placentas :P If people want to to do it, let them. It's not bad for you - it's better than eating your finger nails or salty bogeys which many still do.
