Well I don't think it was habbo specifically but I was procrastinating during my AS levels and avoided doing any revision and spent all my time on habbo/x. It wasn't a wise decision as I did pretty bad. Overall, no it hasn't. I've done pretty well since then and I'm happy with where I am now.

I wouldn't say it did! I was going to do bad either way :P That was secondary school though, I've done pretty well in college!
subo; somehow I knew you made this thread when I saw the name :L

Hm
Well no not really

Since I have stopped playing on habbo, my education has not improved. So I'll say nope. I think the fact that I am super lazy has damaged my education the most xD

Yawn

No, because when I have exams I leave for a short period till there over, but sometimes I might log in and be afk for like an hour when revising.

I suppose I did pretty well to get Cs, Bs and 1 or 2 As/A*s but I did no revision for anything due to Habbo/x. I was mainly procrastinating I guess though so I can't really blame them.

My superior intellect and exam technique are completely unaffected by distractions such as Habbo.

Lol yes, one of the main reasons for my laziness.

No. When I do come on Habbo(x), if I wasn't on Habbo then I would just be doing something else e.g. Playing some other game or something, but without Habbo I doubt my education would improve :P.

it did in yr10 - 11 because of my problems i would sit at home on habbo because i could 'socialise' there and not have panic attacks and fits and only turn up to school for exams. now im a little better, hardly use habbo unless someone drags me online but i play minecraft too much and im doing alright at college and work!

I'd say it hindered me when I was really active and addicted from around age 10-13 but since August 2012, no.

Nope, during revision I don't stop to go on habbo, I just sometimes go on habbo if I stop.

I often blame habbo for my lack of concentration once I get home. Sometimes I'll just sit on habbo and find it soo boring yet continue to go on it lol. I dunno, i wouldn't say it has ruined my education (yet) as I'm still getting fairly good grades which has kept my parents happy. Although if i startted to go downhill i reckon they'd tell me to get off my mac altogether.

Probably in year 9 was the worst for me because i was really into habbo and that was my worst year at school lol. Year 10 was a bit better. This year im going great. I hardly am on habbo for long, just not that into it :P

Uh, we'll have to see when grades come back.. :P Although I did ban my accounts from Habbo to stop me going on them through revision just to say hi to a few people and I'm just gonna quit Habbo altogether. I don't really think it did, Habbo isn't the only thing I'd procrastinate on, I blame Tumblr and Netflix hahaha :(

I personally think Habbo has actually developed my ability to self-education. I am willing to work on my grammar on a daily basis, catch up to daily events and learn graphic designing from friends.

I never once believed Habbo was a complete waste of time. Depending on what you do on the game, you can learn a lot from it. You can develop grammar skills, social skills through media or expertise in designing and creating.

when i used to play a lot (back in the days when i was like 13-16) it didn't rly have any negative outcome on how i did at school. i always performed well.

so, NO.

Habbo did not ruin my education, and i'm sure it hasn't ruined yours.

Back in Primary school (7th grade I used to play games all day) Never failed a year, Secondary school I was up until 4 A.M and had school in 4 hours... I dont know how I used to do it. I wasn't playing habbo, it was other games like my xbox 360, RPG games and so on... My first year of college never played a game after that, I failed and had to start over. my second year of college went very well. I got my priorities at the right place and after that everything seemed to go just fine doing 90's and studying 24/7. What i'm trying to say is you're probably young and at that stage of life all you want to do is play games and have fun What I didn't know when I was a kid is once you get older your priorities change. You want a car, you want your own place, you want kids, you want a good paying job... I realized all that when I was Nineteen/ Twenty years old. Take a big breather, relax and don't prevent yourself from going to school. I finally decided that after getting my College Diploma, I will go to University to get a Degree. It's never to late to change your habits and relax you're still young!

I was super habbo(x) nerdy/obsessed around about year 9ish so I would say it did probably affect my education abit at that point, I managed to pull it around for my gcses though. I stopped going on habbo really by the time I got to college, I only come on now when I have nothing else to do.

Ruined mine, played habbo when I should have been revising lool

Same here.. Although it really helped me with English. I remember when I first joined Habbo in 2009, I couldn't say one good sentence lol, then started watching movies and got a little better, so when I decided to join Habbo again I already had the basics, but now I mean.. I passed my IELTS exam and I'm going to a Scottish Uni, and I don't think I could have managed this without Habbo so I also owe A LOT to this game! So yeah finally, I think the outcome was good.
