Tokens for referrals.

I don't know if this already happens, but I think it'd be fair to award a user with X amount of tokens for referring another user to HabboxForum :P I've seen plenty of EOs and HxHD members refer users, so tokens could be a decent reward on top of this?

You get 100 tokens (I think) for referring someone to the site. I know it was on the list of how to earn them, I just don't remember how many tokens you get for it :P.

This is a major problem. I have 19 referrals, all before tokens were added btw, but I could probably only name 1 of them tbh. When people are referring you, maybe from a Habbox ad in your room, you won't know they have so is there not any way that it can be automatic?

Well if they refer to you it's because they know you, so you will know their name lol. Also if someone refers to you, they will let you know they did it most of the times.

Why would you need to know who referred you? If your referrals go up by 1, then you get the tokens?

No, not really I have 10 referrals and I don't know any of them, I've never been told someone referred me either :(.

I saw Chris asking someone for the username, I think in one of the question/queries threads, I'm assuming so that he can go and check that user and their join date+referrer.

I put the members username in the token issue reason so that its easy to keep track of if we ever need to go back and look. :)

Well I don't know everyone who referred me. Last time I checked which was ages ago I had like 20. Now I have 24.

In the past when I was quite active on the client I would often tell people to sign up and explain the steps to those who asked. (Very) rarely I asked people to put myself as their 'referrer' as it doesn't benefit me whatsoever. However I somehow have several referrals and that's because I have advertised HxF and therefore people have put me as their referrer. :P

Referral comps in the past have often been abused so it makes sense to have some sort of check in place rather than making it automatic.

Not saying make it automatic, could have them checked, but no need for a username? idk...

Or have it automatic but the person you referred needs to confirm their account and make 5 posts or something if you can do that.

Or ask for their Habbo username as they register and confirm that the Habbo username in question is from an account owned by someone as their main, not a clone, and only those could actually count as referrals?
