Yes you can make categories in friend settings

Although it'd be useful, it also makes it easier for people to go and add hundreds of people and then spam them all.

Well that's true, that was the downside to it. If something like it was brought into the hotel, it'd be helpful if you had 100 odd friends.

Yeah definitely would be useful :D. I tend not to have more than 20-30 friends online now though so I don't need it as much :P.

Small f/l's are so much easier to manage than those you see with 1,000 friends. :P
