The new chat was not that bad when you did the settings right, wide bubbles + line by line + normal scroll = Good. And I loved the chat logs!

They added an option where 3/4 users could have their speech bubbles on the same line in a room (if they were far enough apart).
The text went up incredibly quickly, and if there were many users in the room it'd be gone instantly.
You could have speech bubbles that went onto multiple lines (5/6 lines max I think)
You couldn't drag down for chat history, you'd have to hover over the top and wait and then drag grey space instead of a scroll bar.

It was just terrible lmao

I didn't like the new chat either like most people but the part about "If it ain't broke don't fix it" isn't always the best policy. It's always good to have small improvements added to the hotel otherwise it would be boring.

there are plenty of things that could do with a revamp on Habbo but sulake is ignoring all of those things and just messing about with speech bubbles :S

I actually spent half an hour on the hotel today to see what all the 'whining' was about. In my opinion all the complaints were 100% justified. In a public/busy room it was absolutely not working and it was impossible to follow the chat. Clearly when the beta testers, whoever they are, were testing the feature the rooms were pretty quiet.

All credit to staff for noticing how awful the situation was and doing something about it asap.

No, as the developer who developed this is Gulimulanti or something who has been staff since around 2007.

I was talking about powertoo and .beeches. for the most part, they get things ran by them, then they pass it on to the devs, devs work on -insert project here- and then the release gathers either negative or positive reactions from the users.

True, but you're forgetting we are not the only hotel, the other hotels have this applied eventually as well. Plus the other sites have their own staff too, Powertoo and .Beeches. aren't the only staff in Sulake who pass things to devs.
