What do you think has improved since the mute? Do you think its been a positive or negative impact and why? Also, what do you think Habbo would be like now if a mute and the scandal never took place?

Moderation could still do with improvements but I think it is a lot better than it was. If there is one positive I take from the mute is that we are finally rid of Paul. We wouldn't have seen any of the recent improvements like articles being returned or the return of a staff presence since he was all about making everything automatic. He was just awful and he might have been still here if it wasn't for the scandal. It just sucks that a lot of the staff that have been here from the beginning all got laid off!!

i'd say improved, the staff interact more with users, and they come into the public spaces to ask for users feedback.

still room for improvement though!

I haven't noticed an improvement. They never replied to my ticket. I got banned for mentioning Facebook, without asking for it/giving it out. Moderation has become too strict in certain cases; it's not tailored moderation, they are just banning on keywords as opposed to context.

I agree with you, forums was a vital aspect of Habbo hotel :)

Wow, year already? Yeah allot has improved.

Ah i miss forums. But before they were removed people were spamming them anyway... I'm sure staff are looking for ways for groups to communicate (like the old forums). Just hard to moderate them i guess.

Think the moderation was better before the mute. people still talk dirty.

Improvements here and there have indeed happened, but I don't think they've been very effective in the end. We still haven't regained the numbers of users as it was before the mute.

Honestly something could have been solved without causing an entire mute. They took way too long for everything to get back to normal which then caused the huge decrease of users. It was a very bad move by Paul and something should have been done way before the news report. Although many of my favorite features have been removed, I have slowly seen Habbo improve little by little, mostly because the brainwashed CEO left. All they need to do now is to find a way of moderating forums and minimails, which is possible, and add new staff. I believe Elisa could afford it seeing as she is very wealthy.

Tbh, I don't think much has been improved. The 'moderation team' basically just bans/mutes people for saying keywords such as: facebook, skype, etc. The numbers have dropped & struggling to regain back up to like 6-8 thousand users, stuck at maximum 4 thousand or even 3 thousand. This entire mute thing really didn't make sense. People found ways to get around the system. They still cyber etc. I kinda like the recent updates on the hotel itself though, not really the chat/moderation. Improvement can be done though. I still miss all the staff etc. Oh well, that's just my thoughts...
*sorry for the use of "etc" so much..*

Moderation has improved here and there, but the flooding system catches people out too easily. Everytime I host trivia races about 5 people get muted in the hour simply because they're fast typers and the flooding system thinks they're spamming.

Customer service idk what happened there, mixed views from it still.

Honestly nothing else has improved. Staff actually come on the hotel now thankfully but campaigns still aren't fun, we have no minimail and forums, prizes for competitions are still absolute rubbish. I understand having a badge is nice when it's rare, but a rare would be much better (the funky friday case was a one off) or some credits. Browsed through some old articles from 2008-earlier on the usa hotel and saw a prize of 100credits lmao.

It's crazy to think it was a year ago, but I do think a lot has changed for the better. We said goodbye to Paul La Fo in January which I guess was a good thing, we then saw a company buy the main shares in Sulake (has to be good, they must see potential to be investing). Then came hiring of new staff (powertoo, .beeches., and the rest).. more interaction with the community, articles re-released, more campaigns i.e with furni and that..

So I suppose Habbo is getting better compared to what it was, moderation does need sorting though. :P

Nothing has improved. There is still sexually explicit rooms at the top of the charts and people talking dirty like no tomorrow. The moderators still fail to do their job properly. It's safe to say Paul Lafountain whatever his name was responded terribly to the situation and didn't actually fix anything lol

I'm just waiting for a media entity to jump right back into the sexual issue and again Sulake will fail to remedy the issue, I wouldn't be surprised if a media entity also jumped into the gambling thing lol

it seems they're listening and bringing back some old features. I get the feeling you get banned for the smallest thing..

I'm not sure what I think of habbo now tbh. Although one thing i really miss is the habbo back in 09. If they were able to re make them days then it would be so good. And yeah the forums, I really want to see them back. Whats taken so long...

I was just thinking that it's been one year!

I don't think much has improved I'm a lot more bored with it. Campaigns are always the same kinda thing and nothing huge, super new and super exciting has come really since Paul left. I guess maybe the last thing was the citizen track/helper system things idk. Staff interaction and communication is kinda improving now since articles are back, I like it when they tell us through minimail what's happening but I would also like to send them myself. But I hardly see the new staff members around, I think I've seen one? I used to see them all of the time at things like Yurre's research chats and the chats with the development people which were so great. Forum's aren't back... Lots of new furni is being released which I guess is good and an improvement but I lost track of it all, and I liked knowing all of the furni that was available. I feel though that's it's starting to get better again now.

I think that in a way moderation has improved since the mute, as there are hardly any of those sexual rooms which there were at the time of the mute and before the mute, if you report one the mods will close them now. If you report someone they actually do seem to be banned/muted quickly now, although as people have said moderation is too strict as the Costa Ricans seem to struggle to understand the context. Hardly any cybering goes on now, as most of the sexual keywords/body parts words automatically trigger a message to the moderators. I'd say recently Customer Service has improved, because although it takes longer to get a response the tickets are now being dealt by Sulake's own customer service team (Powertoo, beeches and Eva from .COM.TR.) .

Staff interaction has definitely improved too, I remember during the period of the mute we had no community staff for .COM at all so we weren't informed about the news about the mute.

Improvements: Fansite-related events, staff interaction

Things still need improving: Moderation, Habbo Guardians, unfair reports, further discussion on public rooms

Wow, it has been a year?!
It has flown by !!

Tbh I see bad changes, but tbh they're not in anyway because of the mute.

I don't really see any changes that have been impacted from the mute, except a change in the moderation ways. Which has got worse

It really isn't worse lol. It might have gone a bit ott now but before the mute if you reported something, you got a pop up saying action had been taken when nothing ever did. Things like sexual party rooms were rife before the mute, but I have definitely noticed a decline.

I mean worse as in the decisions, introduction of guardians or whatever they're called, which I think don't work, etc. Yeah some parts have improved, like you said, but imo I believe certain areas have failed

Yea, habbos should'nt be doing the job of a paid moderator. I never liked guardians/citizenship track from the beginning but they were planned before the mute anyway.

I noticed it settled down a lot. They also prevent people to minimail people after the Habbo Mute, but that really didn't negatively effect to many people.

I mean it helped Habbo, but to what extent to? They had to practically shut down for an entire year.

Nothing has improved, but it hasn't got massively worse. I didn't cyber or anything inappropriate, but I do miss being able to say "Skype" without earning myself a ban. Or saying words (can't think of an example) that with the end of one word + start of the next make a swear word, so it gets blocked. So annoying. I wish we could turn the filter off properly. :(

I don't need to be mollycoddled.
