I think with items that don't let you do it, you can only do it if it's in the best sellers category. But probably unlikely for group furni :P.

Just noticed seeds are in there and you still can't do bulk deals with them, so you wouldn't with gold bars either. But I remember @Comity; said about color tiles going in there and letting you buy them in bulk deals.
