Habbox Records Page

Hello fellow Habboxians,

I don't know if you have this already but how about a Habbox Records Page. I'm sure you could think of a better name for it, detailing records that Habbox members see fit to add to there. This will help add to Habbox's history and users will be able to look back and find out such info as (GommeInc was the first to reach 20,000 posts on the forum! - Then some details etc(I don't know if he was the first to 20,000)). :)

Didn't know what kind of records would go on there but I'm sure you could think of some ideas you bunch of clever clogs.

Let me know what you all think about this :D

Finding out who was the first this that and the other might be hard though.. or it could just be done from now on.. like the 20,000 post one. Someone is bound to know who was first... but I'm stuck for other records.. Like Longest reigning staff member is HotelUser ? For example :P

It's not actually a hard target, edits can be fairly trivial and I was doing sweeping changes across the wiki at the time so I'd end up racking up 100 edits for 15 minutes work.

How would you suggest we went about this (in terms of users being able to submit their 'records') as we can't give every single user access to the one page - it'll be a nightmare. Also, do you feel you would read it if it was on the main site, or the Wiki?

This is exactly why this might be problematic, because you'd have people coming up with (and quite validly) any record they can find for themselves under the sun and submitting it. Unless of course someone filters them out for ones they think are interesting and/or important. But then again that would be subjective.

At least some might have been joking, but again it is a fact I believe, if they were to have longest running staff member they could easily do it in the departments too, depending the role they had. Although some dates might not even be that difficult as I know we have a list in the staff forums or management forums for key changes too etc.

I don't think small stats such as "the person who first reached God status" or "the longest running normal management member (excluding (A)GMs)" could be that much of an ego boost or a problem because they're clear cut fact, but I didn't realise that this many people were so against this kind of thing haha.

It looks like people will just bicker if it's introduced based on this thread so it's probably easier to not bother now I guess.

I agree with the ego-trip argument. Who would have the authority to decide what records are 'suitable'? It could be favouritism: if a select few people are deciding, they could either pick someone or deliberately not pick someone - even deciding which records are deemed suitable, which may be decided on who the 'applicants' are.

On the other hand if it's done by popularity vote or member vote you could end up with really mean ones, like 'biggest ****' or something. Which wouldn't be good. And more threads like that, I'm sure everyone here can think of a thousand mean 'titles' we could give.

If it's bare facts like 'first to reach god status', that's on people's wiki pages, as far as I know, and on the page for the specific thing (like Forum God) - if it's not, it should be - and although I agree a list of all records might be a good thing I'd argue only for the fact ones. Which might be hard to verify? I don't know.
