I've seen this disputed by people a few times, but do you think RBI is a "good" idea in general?

I think the underlying principle is ok and I sorta understand why they exist, but I don't agree with the fact large amounts of them get early access to badges/quiz answers/upcoming campaigns (because that's what seems to happen) before the general public.

I'm also sure it was @Kardan (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=3428); who said that once staff start allowing more and more users to be involved in the "production" of the game (i.e. latest campaign ideas submitted/created by users), how long is it before a small minority get to do almost everything.

I'm not massively against rbi i just disagree on some grounds - I'd like to know how the old room designers system worked on .NL @Rakker (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=94546);

Yeah we do when something's wrong with it : ]]]]]]]

if you think this is pointless moaning you should see half of the moaning crap people post around in the Habbo forum which is just unbelievably trivial.

Agree with few points. I think it was a good idea and quick way for staff to get some help on some things without wasting resources and time. It had a few faults though especially, as you mentioned, them all getting access to early badges, early rooms, finding out about rooms before hand and telling their friends all the clues and hints and help in the rooms to get badges first. Now powertoo has her little favourites who we all know anyway but they arse lick and get what they want now.

I think the concept was good and at the start it was positive, but once the internal points system started making movement it just created problem and after problem for those involved who didn't have loads of friends/ found it hard to interact with certain members who were just plain rude 24/7, and the exclusiveness posed an issue too of course. If it was to return I think it would have to be on a more open, public platform for everyone to participate.

Placing anything in the hands of Habbo users who are self-serving, immature and rude, what could go wrong? :rolleyes:

they got another special building account and if habbo want a special room, the hotel manager send a mail to the 10 room designers and the first responder made the room

That sounds much simpler :P

They needed access to the campaigns early or they'd just be told "go make this" "go make that" and RBI would be completely moot then

RBI never got early access to quizzes, badges or campaigns :S

I hope you know that we were never really told how the campaign will work. The minimails we used to get were only told us about the rooms we were supposed to make. Let me tell you that in most of the campaigns we were unaware of the fact that for which purpose our room was supposed to be used. For example powertoo gave us a theme of easter and we made the rooms, we had no idea what was to be made a game room..or a themed room, so we made the rooms anyway but we later learnt that all of them were joined to make a large easter maze, same with the April Fools campaign. My point being, we never really found out the structure of the campaign, let alone the access to badges and quizzes.

RBI was unfair in some terms of course, mainly because we used to work with the Hotel manager and most of the members got their room featured in the Got Game campaign even though it really had no link with RBI. In totality though, RBI was fair, the selection was very fair. Another disadvantage was that no player out of RBI could work with us.

RBI is 50/50 - It's nice that Habbos can create rooms if that is what they like doing. Some people in the RBI team was just rude all the time like previously stated and was terrible to other members of the team. Action was taken against some and then further action to others.

RBI didn't get special access to anything until the events were officially announced to everybody. The only bonus that RBI got was the badges free if they owned the room, however several people abused this and let others in.

Overall RBI is good but needs a few upgrades, most of the people barely did anything and just tagged along with friends for free points. Half of the rooms, I agree were disgusting. This was brought up in meetings and then Powertoo had a go at the people who said it... person.
