Have you ever been hacked on habbo?
If so, was it your fault? Was it a random attack with no one to blame? Or was it family or a friend to blame?

I was hacked once in 2006, with a friend in real life to blame. They downloaded a fake habbo thing without my permission!

2006 - I was to blame, I gave someone my password over MSN because they said they were the hotel manager :(
2008 - I can't really remember this or how it happened, but I lost what was then 2.5t. Also, 2008 is just an estimate. And this wasn't on my Mr-Trainor account.
2011 - I wasn't to blame, was a random attack and idk how it happened. However, if one of the explanations I have is true then it could partly be my fault.

On topic, yes I've been hacked three times and I believe not all of them were my fault.

Hmm well the first two times were in my early days of Habbo so I don't really remember them and they didn't affect me too much. The first time I just spent £3 on credits and was worth more than I was before being hacked LOL. The second time it did affect my trade room I had back then, though. But yeah being hacked 15 months ago or however many it is wasn't good :'(.

A Habbox member once told me there was this new Habbo thing so I eventually put my password in, but I was reluctant at first. They only took a Blue Pillow I won from Clong's Takenshi's Castle though.

Then I got hacked on Christmas Day 2009 by another Habbox Member :rolleyes:.

Yes once around 2008-09, found out afterwards by searching my habbo name that a habbo hacking forum did it and they installed a trojan on my computer. Hacked everything, email included. :(

Back in 2004ish, I'd gotten into someones account via a standard scam, put all my loot in a room, Ts, HCs, loads of HC Club items, an hour later was hacked, logged out, PC wouldn't function, hacker popped up chat boxes on my XP desktop and changed the screen to black with green writing etc. I spoke with them for like an hour, was the weirdest thing.

I'm sat in my bedroom at half 11 at night and they say, 'dude, I'm not an ***hole, you should get some firewall etc to prevent this sort your PC out' etc, next minute, 'let me know if anything happens' - Gggshheeepp - disc tray opened from my PC tower. Never been so scared/impressed by a hacker before, even though now I now its a fairly simple trick, that transition from them manipulating my software, which all happens on-screen and in data was something I could cope with, but physically changing something in my bedroom, my personal space, in the dark and silence of night, was damn frightening.

Kudos to them, I bet they're legion of Anon now in some Ecuadorian embassy trolling the Pentagon heh.

Around 2008 when I first joined I went into a falling furni room and while waiting in line this girl said "when you type your password it shows as stars! look *****", and of course I fell for it.. only had a few iced furni anyway since I was new to habbo. The account was Chrisbud so I made chrisbud1 lol

I've been scammed about three times and hacked once in my whole 2003->2013 Habbo experience...

Scam Stories:
In 2003 I lost my original (Actually second but my actual original account "Vito", made in January 2001, I only played for half a day and then quit - Amazingly the account was still alive in like 2010, it's PlayerID was crazy... like 500->800th or something ridiculously early) account which was called "Vito201" after moving all my furniture over to another account (I was moving accounts anyway) and I though "Meh, I have no furniture... may as well try one of these people that are always telling me they can clone furniture!"... So I checked the rooms of like three people on my list that constantly were trying to scam me (Although I thought it was like 80% scam, 20% possibly truthful... because I was 11 and thus an overly trusting idiot... xD) but yeah... he stole the account, changed the room names and a few stickies... he seemed really proud, not sure why... he didn't really get anything at all. >-o
I never got "Vito201" back despite trying a couple of times... back in 2003 getting a hacked account back was a nightmare... the hacker didn't really need any info to change the email etc... plus scripters (Or anyone with any packetsniffer/logger - even WPE/WireShark etc) could see the accounts DOB upon client login! (Which was a really bad design floor on Sulake's part! xP).

Then the other two scams were just Trophy scams... where I thought I was trading for a Jibbi trophy but got junk (On two separate occasions)... it actually happened to me three times but the second/third guy actually gave me the trophy afterwards anyway because he "felt bad" about it. =P Lol...

Hack Story:
Then I actually got "hacked" in 2009/10 on my main-scripting account and lost like 8-12 staff (HMs/MODs) trophies, 6 Army Plastos and a few other rare-rares...
That ***** "hacked" me by becoming a friend... asking me to help him program his program... then after a couple of days of me helping him code etc he sent me the "Finished" program (No reason for me to check at this point - or so I thought - since I had checked a few the last couple of days and helped him loads... become friends etc... so why would he hack me?)... anyway... logged in the next day and realized...
Was lucky he only got my Habbo credentials though... he could've easily FUD Keylogged me when he sent me that program and managed to get my Paypal/Ebay/RuneScape (Back when my character was worth like £300->£500 on eBay) etc...
Also my friend bought back all my staff trophies from the people that bought them from the hacker... the ArmyPlastos were a little bit harder (Since people that bought those didn't wanna sell them back) but eventually I got everything back... was a piss take though, and cost my friends lots of creds. ;<

The moral (tldr): Never trust anyone when accepting programs - no matter how many times it's been fine in the past - always check where the credentials are being sent (If it asks for username/passwords) and always make sure you've only accepted the program you expected, and that nothing is attached to it!

I provoked someone in the "merkt" team by saying i was un-hackable 11 months ago. i mocked their attempt at trying to get me to visit their habboexposed tumblr, which had a drive by java program that instantly downloads into your hard drive and self-executes a keylogger. a lot of users were affected..i'm sure some of you remember Scarey/ben-reppin? he was the "team leader" or whatever. i did some web sleuthing and saw that he personally stored this program on his minecraft server site.

he later went around asking people who knew how to properly hack if they could 'get' my account cause he was just some idiot who didn't now anything about hacking, and no one would help him LOL (because i'm generally a nice person so why would anyone wanna target me?) but he still went about dossing me whenever he felt like it. because i hurt his ego and laughed in his face. so naturally he got his mates to try and scare me:

i think his account was compromised in the end and he left habbo. good riddance.

edited to add: I sent these screen caps to Habbo Help tool, guess who I had to deal with? Katharina. was anything done about ben? no. I linked to the youtube video he made, everything, forum caps, etc. nothing. was. done.

When I was a Habbo X a member of staff stupidly copied in many of us in an email. Later leading up to the merge one person included in that email, decided to take advantage of knowing my email address (It was one I had never shared, although it was easy to see it was mine). They even fooled Sulake into believing they were me.

This person stole all my furniture from my main account, and moved my trophies onto a clone of theirs. It was very easy for Sulake to identify the thief, as they left huge footprints haha! For those who don’t know, and I can’t be sure if it’s changed, but each piece of furni has or had it’s own identity number, this made it extremely easy to find my trophies as they probably had only ever been owned by me, unlike a club sofa which can change hands thousands of times.

Sulake were keen to involve the police, the evidence was very clear, but we agreed to give the thief the chance to admit their crime. Eventually the thief came forward. The thief’s main account and clones were banned, and I was informed that staffs do not access the account because it could be tampering with evidence, should a prosecution follow.

From records held on Sulake database shortly before my account was stolen they were able to see exactly which furni I held, and this was all replaced, with the exception of what I believe was one tower trophy which most likely went into the marketplace. Around a year or so later I had the opportunity of offering for it, and traded some 400 credits for it.

I suppose I should have changed my habbo email address when the mistake happened, but I never thought another Habbo X would commit such a crime. How silly of me.

Just proves you really need to be extremely careful who you trust if anyone.

Erm, got hacked in 05 with the TYPE IN YOUR PASSWORD AND IT'LL COME OUT AS STARS!!! To be fair, I was 10 :( I got hacked a few months back, not even sure how.. It was my second account that I only used for my maze, but was still a big bummer. They'd left some sort of creepy message in my rooms saying things like ''You're old now Kelly, time to leave habbo.'' There was quite a lot more to it. I was so freaked out, such a weird experience. I still don't really know who it was, but I assume it was someone I was quite close to that they had my email, they didn't even bother changing my password. Funnily enough though, any friends I knew on habbo at the time were all way older than me :P They stole all my bulk furni, so obviously to try and make a nice profit for themselves. So really, their message was quite pathetic considering they wanted me to leave habbo when they obviously played themselves :P owell! You learn and move on to not be so trusting.
